Chilangos Mexican Restaurant is one of those solid places where I know what I'm getting and I have enjoyed what I've gotten every time. As a casual dining experience in Woodbury, it tends to be our go-to spot every time we are in the area. This most recent visit I ordered the shrimp rellena quesadilla and my boyfriend got the fajitas. I really liked the flavors of the quesadilla and it was the perfect thing to order on a smaller appetite. Some other dishes are way too much food but this was just the right size. My boyfriend's sizzling skillet of fajitas on the other hand were a mountain of meat and vegetables with a side plate of beans, rice and sour cream and guacamole. He had to get a box...
I have eaten here a couple of times. Both times I ordered the Nachos Supreme. When I'm out of town, that's usually my order because who can mess up Nachos?? The presentation of the food was awful. The chicken was a big hunk of dried out breast meat, not even sorta shredded. If there was any ground beef, I didn't see it. Of course there were nacho chips with a smattering of beans and cheese that looked like it was made hours before with a sloppy dollop of sour cream. In a word, it was ugly. The taste... the whole dish had a taste of chicken soup. Absolutely no individual flavors to blend together at all. Just terrible. I will never dine here again. Stopped in Woodbury today for a quick lunch at El Chilango's Mexican Restaurant. I've eaten here a few times and it's pretty good! Yes, I got the old faithful Cocktel de Camarones . I just couldn't resist! It's always a pleaser and not too heavy when you've gotta get back out on the road and see patients (work). Every time I've eaten here the chips and salsa have always been good, the service is good, and the price is right. Today however, I ordered to go. I'll be back again soon, I'm sure!
This is your average small town Mexican restaurant, with some interesting menu options. After tasting the chips and queso, I decided to try the shrimp and chorizo nachos with fajita vegetables on top. The nachos were great, and somehow stayed crisp despite the meaty cheese. The only reason for 4 stars is the service, my waitress disappeared after I got my food and I never got any drink refills. Overall I really enjoyed the food but the staff could try a little harder.

Located just south of the DeKalb County line, dining options in Woodbury, TN are limited. Despite the lack of choices, Chilango's offers a satisfying meal, especially their generous serving sizes of fajitas. The lack of alcohol may be a downside for some, but the flavors and atmosphere make up for it. Fast service and reasonable prices make this a good choice for a pre-show meal at The Art's Center.
We had dinner at this restaurant. The food was good, although if you prefer spice, you may need to specify that when ordering or use the hot sauce provided at the table. The waitress was friendly. The chips were okay. The only issue we had was with the credit card machine, which was glitchy and delayed our departure. Overall, it's like any other Mexican restaurant, nothing fancy.
This restaurant is one of the best choices in the area for dining. The food is consistently served quickly after ordering, with no more than a 15-minute wait. Although the burrito I had last time was smaller than anticipated, the enchiladas suprema I ordered were average in flavor. The staff is always friendly and accommodating.
Visiting from Texas our family took is out to this spot. Mighty delicious great ambience, good portions delicious. We had the fajitas parilladas fresh guacamole. All so good, we didn't make it to dessert.

Absolutely disgusting. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Gross, unsanitary atmosphere. I needed alcohol to deal and they don't even serve that. I left before I even ordered.
Chilangos is good food at a good price with great service. We never have to wait long for a great meal.
