I ordered a crispy chicken sandwich with avocado, Swiss cheese, and bacon, but they were unable to make it grilled with a crispy chicken piece. Instead, they charged me to add the toppings to a regular crispy chicken sandwich, but left off the cheese, lettuce, and tomato. The picture shows they really went all out with the avocado, but the bacon was just okay. The sandwich was tasty, but it was missing the essential lettuce, tomato, and cheese. The lack of avocado was also disappointing. When I brought this up to the waitress, she said she would inform the manager. Tonight, the restaurant was not very crowded. There were numerous televisions playing various sporting events. The staff seemed relaxed. We were given unlimited chips and salsa, which tasted good. Personally, I prefer chunky salsa, but theirs was still enjoyable. The crispy chicken was tasty and served warm. The service was good, but the waitress didn't seem very personable. While I was dressed in SIU clothing, I approached the hostess at the restaurant and inquired if I could quickly sit at any available table for 15 minutes to finish up an assignment. Despite half of the tables being empty at the time, and the entire patio area being open, the hostess consulted the manager who instructed her to deny my request and not allow me to sit at any of the empty tables, whether inside or outside.
The food was served at the perfect temperature and the service was outstanding. We dined in for lunch and the price per person ranged from $10 to $20. The food at this restaurant was delicious. However, when we arrived, the hostess seemed confused and didn't know where to seat us, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. I was having difficulty walking due to an injury, and the lack of assistance from the staff made the experience less enjoyable.
The egg rolls are consistently amazing. However, the cheeseburger was slightly undercooked halfway through. Overall, the food receives a rating of 3. The service and atmosphere both received a rating of 4.
