I was quite disappointed with my visit to Chili’s Grill on the evening of October 13th. While the prices were reasonable and the service was decent, the quality of the food has clearly declined. I ordered the special, which included a drink, soup, and the Cajun chicken pasta. The chicken enchilada soup was bland and almost completely flavorless, which was a letdown since it used to be my favorite soup at any restaurant. The main dish wasn’t much better. I went to Chili's Grill for the Veterans lunch. It wasn't crowded, but I was told the wait would be 15 minutes, so I decided to sit at the bar since there was only one person there. However, no one came to take my order until after all the waiting guests were seated. When my food arrived, there were no ketchup or mustard packets. Despite being passed by several times, no one checked on me. After about five minutes, I had to ask the waitress/bartender for condiments. I visited the restaurant around 3 PM, and it was fairly empty with just a few other guests. I chose to sit at the bar, but it took quite a while for someone to take our order. The bartender frequently vanished, and we noticed others arriving and waiting to be seated without any assistance. After several minutes of being ignored, those guests ultimately decided to leave. It seemed there was no hostess on duty, and although the bartender must have seen the waiting customers, he chose to focus on other tasks instead. We felt sorry for those patrons. I wouldn’t suggest referring to this as the Chili's House salad. My husband opted for the fajitas, but the guacamole fell short. While there was a reasonable number of patrons, there were still many empty tables. It appears they are facing challenges with staffing and locating quality team members.
