I wished the fried egg was as perfectly sunnyside egg as it’s advertised. For $3 typical charge for this one egg well and dry. The full order of tots were also soggy. For our first time visit, as we’re been craving to try their food, the awards on the wall didn’t seem to equate the value we paid for today. Food To go: 3 taco combo 2 shrimp and 1 chicken on flour tortilla. I say STICK TO THE SHRIMP, it is much more flavorful and tasty. To be quite honest, I was actually surprised on how good it was. The pictures do not do it justice because they look like basic tacos to me. The marinade of the shrimp and the flavor of their green sauce was *chef's kiss* Elote yummy, just how it should taste. This is a hidden gem in Lakewood. The owner beeline is super nice and personable. Delicious food and quick service are always a hit. I like the California burrito and I add shrimp to make it surf and turf. The horchata thai tea is amazing as well. I recently got catering from here for my daughter's second birthday. We placed an order on GrubHub at 6:30, but it was canceled at 7:00, just as we arrived at the restaurant. According to Yelp, they should have been open until 7:30. When we spoke to an employee, she was rude and blamed GrubHub, saying there was nothing she could do since she wasn't the boss. As we were leaving, we noticed someone else successfully picking up their order. I had my first experience trying Chinitos tacos, and it was phenomenal! The service was the best I've ever had; my boyfriend and I were well taken care of from the moment we arrived. The staff was fantastic overall! The food was equally amazing— the carnita tacos came with delicious pickled onions, and the loaded tater tots topped with a fried egg were out of this world. My favorite drink was the horchata Thai tea; I ended up getting a second one! The atmosphere was great, with both indoor and outdoor seating options!
I was working nearby and decided to take some coworkers out for lunch, so we headed to this restaurant, which we had never visited before. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed. The aroma of the food was enticing, and the menu offered a wide variety of choices. The quality of the food was outstanding. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to try something new.
