I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The customer service was top-notch, and the food was absolutely delicious. During my visit, I paid my bill of $22.50, but then I realized I wanted to add an item to my order that cost $5. Unfortunately, I didn’t have enough on my card to process the transaction. When the gentleman serving me asked if I had cash, I mentioned I did, but I couldn't use it at that moment. To my surprise, he said, "No worries, you can pay me later!" I ordered a Salvadoran quesadilla, but it was burnt on the bottom. They replaced it with another one, but unfortunately, the flavor didn't match what I expected from a traditional Salvadoran quesadilla. Additionally, when I checked out, I noticed they overcharged me; the price was supposed to be five dollars, but my bill came to seven dollars. So, if you visit this restaurant, be sure to examine your bill carefully. They also automatically add a charge for customer service, which is essentially an additional tip. Overall, I would rate the food a 3 out of 10.
The service was outstanding, the food was incredible, and the atmosphere was clean and inviting. As a self-proclaimed taco enthusiast, I’ve sampled every taco spot in West Haven and Orange over the past two years, and these tacos are, without a doubt, the best in the area. My wife ordered the fajitas, which were also the finest we’ve had. The El Salvadoran options are a wonderful addition to this already fantastic restaurant. The food is absolutely amazing, and the customer service is top-notch. My favorites are the tacos, steak, rice, and beans. My nieces aren’t usually fans of tacos, but I convinced one of them to try one because it looked so delicious. After taking a bite, she exclaimed, “OMG, this is sooo good!”
The experience can be inconsistent. The house-made tortillas and sopes are quite good, but the quality of the meat varies—sometimes it's great, other times not so much. The pupusas and platos are consistently enjoyable, but overall, the prices are on the high side, even before 2022.
The new management has revamped the menu to include delicious Salvadorean dishes. I highly recommend trying their specials, like the "Queen's Special" with chicken, beef, and shrimp, as well as the Carne Asada grilled steak, Pupusas, and their homemade Horchata.
