Best chocolate dipped cone ever!!! I usually avoid places like this due to the lack of quality and high prices experienced at those other dairy places in Ontario, but since I was on vacation and it was recommended by the lovely girl at the Levis Tourism office I gave it a try, and WOW what a surprise! After a three day stay in Quebec city I finally found a good ice cream shop, on the last day! There was a little line up outside this shop as we approached. The smell of chocolate hits you immediately as you walk through the door. There were an incredible amount of options. Not only ice cream but chocolates and other sweet treats. Me and my husband had already decided we wanted to cool down on this hot day so we went for the dulce de leche and orange with dark chocolate ice creams. Even though we opted for the petite size, once we got the sweets in our hands we were amazed by how big they actually were. Nonetheless we started eating our ice creams and were immediately sold. We got the soft serve ice creams, but the experience was spoiled by the thickness of the fondue, which hardened and was 1.5cm thick at some points. It was so thick that we had to take off the chocolate and set it aside instead. Also, everyone else seemed to get the mini size which was honestly adequate. I got the soft serve chocolate ice cream which they said has to be served in a cup, which was fine, but honestly if you're going to go for a chocolate soft serve, go for the gelato instead. A pure S'mores hot chocolate? This I had to try! Aside from the line being out the door, with the weather being 10 degrees Fahrenheit, I needed a serious pick-me-up. Having been raised in California, hot chocolate to me is the best cure for winter blues! Chocolats Favoris certainly lives up to its reputation for quality chocolate. The S'mores hot chocolate is unbelievably amazing! The top layer with whipped cream, marshmellow, and graham cracker is amazing! Whether as a sauce, dipped ice cream flavors, or as hot chocolate, there is something for all chocolate lovers at this shop. I've never enjoyed soft serve ice cream quite like this before! You get to pick the size of your cone, and then they dip the vanilla ice cream into your flavor of choice. With 12 flavors to choose from, I opted for the dark chocolate Tanzania, which has a richer cacao taste. I discovered that the less messy way to eat it is to bite from the top and then use a spoon to scoop out the ice cream. I learned this lesson the hard way after making quite the mess by biting all the way through. Regardless, it was definitely worth taking the ferry to try this!
If you ever see this type of chocolate dipped delight, do treat yo' self! So amazing sweet, creamy, smooth, silky chocolate treat. So many choices to dip. I tend to go traditional with a milk chocolate dip, but the fleur de sel was fantastic as well. On my first trip to Quebec I discovered this and treated myself again. Wish i would have found day one. Cannot find anything near this quality where i live in the States. It's high quality dipped cone...dairy queen dipped cone is a joke in comparison.

Similar to Chocolato. Really good chocolate and gelato. We opted for a pumpkin spice soft serve here. Dipped it in mochacino chocolate and just enjoyed staring at the rain while getting our sweet fix. Tip: Let the chocolate harden before taking a bite. We rushed in to it and the soft serve squirted out of the chocolate shell. It was fun though.
