This place really surpassed my expectations for fast casual dining. I enjoyed the Motherland bowl (vegan), especially the yellow coconut curry that tied all the ingredients together perfectly. I also loved the beef patties incredibly flaky crust and well spiced meat. I will say that the food here is a bit on the pricier side BUT all the ingredients are fresh, food is well seasoned, and portions aren’t too large or too small. Don’t go in expecting it to be a “traditional” West African restaurant. Instead, it’s a restaurant that pulls from West African, Creole, and other African diasporic food traditions to create something delightful and new. Definitely will be back next time I’m in Houston.
Food was excellent as always!! I'm not a first time customer but I wanted to give a shout out to NOVA i'm unsure if she is the manager or not but she resolved an issue that came up expeditiously!!! I truly appreciate her customer service skills an attentiveness to my issue.Parking: you can probably park on the street the handicap parking in the front is free.
I visited the restaurant at The Post and it was amazing! I ordered the chicken golden bowl, which was packed with all the delicious flavors of soul food, but even tastier! It featured Jolie rice, Brussels sprouts, roasted plantains, and curry coconut milk with peas. It had the perfect amount of spice! Absolutely delicious. You should definitely give it a try! UNMATCHED! Once I tried a sample of the Golden Bowl, I immediately bought the entree! It was beyond delicious! I had to come back with my family try it again during the day and once they tried it they too were hooked! I literally ate there 3 times this week. I love how flavorful the Golden bowl is. The spice level is just PERFECT not too spicy.
Without a doubt, my favorite spot at the POST is this restaurant. The Golden Bowl and its vegetarian counterpart, the Motherland, are absolutely amazing. I think they have the perfect balance of spice and flavor.
The samples offered were a great aid in deciding to try the food, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. The flavors and textures were amazing, and the customer service was outstanding.

Got the Trad. The taste was good. But the serving size is not worth $17 for a bowl that was not even half full. You are better off trying other places. Big dissatisfaction.
