Delicious sandwiches and pizza. Dinner salad was lettuce and a few croutons. The house dressing is creamy parmesan. It's tasty. The French fries had good flavor. Didn't have pizza. That is was the Tavern is known for. The service was very good inspite of the fact that there was only one waitress for 1/2 of the restaurant. They had a good crowd for lunch on Monday. The prices were reasonable also.
The food we had the pizza and grinders was very good. The onion rings, which are homemade and are the thin variety, we delicious. We did, however, make the mistake of ordering the large which more than fed our group of four, switch leftovers for four more. The moral order the large only if you have a party of 6 or more.
I always love the tavern. It reminds me of being young because I grew up in Valley junction. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because they wouldn't accept my Valley Junction gift cards. It says on the card any business in HJV.
Pizza is good. Havent really tried anything else in the menu. Waitress gave me the wrong drink but We went when there was a event so I under she was very busy and probably overwhelmed but overall okay :
Very good menu selection with lots of good choices for food. Would love to see some cocktail options besides basic two ingredient drinks. Service was on point, especially for a large party.
It's always great. Pizzas are loaded with blows, pasta is decent, and the sting grinder is a must. Tell the manager Matt Johnson he'll make sure you have a great experience.
We frequent here very often! Great food and service every time. Never leave without getting their ravoils and salad with house dressing! My favorite pizza!
