Like previous reviewers, we have used Chung Ying probably over decades by now. The food has always top-notch. We ordered our usual meals tonight with anticipation of delightfully prepared food. Instead, what we got was just about uneatable and disgraceful. I ordered my usual succulent Duck in Orange sauce and received greasy pieces of duck with no sign at all of orange sauce at all, egg fried rice with just a hint of egg. We had to make our own orange sauce in order to attempt to eat it, but even so, the meal was totally uneatable. To add to the misery, when the driver delivered the so-called meal, he had on his list that we hadn't paid despite paying online when we ordered. He didn't believ...
So disappointed, I have used this Chinese for the last 2 years always been superb. You've changed your chef and now the food is absolutely disgusting. Not only that the staff you have on the phones and front of house are very childish and unprofessional stood laughing. All In all the problem seems to be the staff. So devastated it's gone so down hill speaking to the manager isn't going to change the fact that staff is the issue. The manager isn't going to sack everyone.
when we entered the premises all the lights in the restaurant were off.They employ 2 young people who didnt havea clue what they were doing,we had to request everything fom plates,cutlery and napkins.They didnt know what Gin was and they stood behind the counter giggling not attending to us paying customers.We were the only ones in there and i can undertand why.I recommend a takeaway from here but not tosit in Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
I really wanted to have a good experience as not been here for some time. Luke warm food . Ok but not great. No atmosphere and felt awkward in there. They really need a front of house to greet and make you feel welcome. Ask if everyone ok. Ensure cutlery there and do you want anything else etc. the place is dated. Carpets tired. Toilets not great. It’s a shame but I cannot recommend it
Walked in as I wanted to take my two kids for a dining-in chinese meal and was greeted by a run down restaurant, dimly lit and full of teenagers lounging over the chairs and sitting on bikes, it clearly just a doss house now. I was told by one of them that's its takeout and cash only now. Would not recommend!
As I exited my mode of transportation, I could smell the food. I had to intervene before my nose and mouth combined formed a coup over my body. I ran into the building and ate, it was amazing.
Pre ordered online for takeaway pick up. Food was ready right on time and piping hot. Tasted amazing. By far the best Chinese we’ve had in a while, wouldn’t hesitate to come back Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Takeaway. Late delivery cold, absolutely inedible. Went in bin spoilt meal kids were looking forward to, waste of £35.00 would definitely not recommend. Not one thing was nice .
