Like previous reviewers, we have used Chung Ying probably over decades by now. The food has always top-notch. We ordered our usual meals tonight with anticipation of delightfully prepared food. Instead, what we got was just about uneatable and disgraceful. I ordered my usual succulent Duck in Orange sauce and received greasy pieces of duck with no sign at all of orange sauce at all, egg fried rice with just a hint of egg. We had to make our own orange sauce in order to attempt to eat it, but even so, the meal was totally uneatable. To add to the misery, when the driver delivered the so-called meal, he had on his list that we hadn't paid despite paying online when we ordered. He didn't believ...
So disappointed, I have used this Chinese for the last 2 years always been superb. You've changed your chef and now the food is absolutely disgusting. Not only that the staff you have on the phones and front of house are very childish and unprofessional stood laughing. All In all the problem seems to be the staff. So devastated it's gone so down hill speaking to the manager isn't going to change the fact that staff is the issue. The manager isn't going to sack everyone.
Unbelievable, maybe because it was a Sunday evening but no one else in the restaurant. Shy waitress who barely took care of me and who was apparently only there to take takeaway orders. A lady from the kitchens came and completely ignored me. Fortunately there were fish in the aquarium to have a little social connection. That said, when it comes to cooking, I ate very well.

Used chung ying quite a few times meals have been OK. This time absolutely disgusting. Ordered pork curry and sweet and sour pork Hong Kong style wasn't like it said on the menu . When I phone about it and the young lady was speaking to someone else about it all I heard was them laughing over it customer service was bad well never use this place again
Ordered a takeaway never been there before it was very dark and unwelcoming but I hoped the food would be good it wasn't chicken in my curry was awful kindle of rubbery and didn't taste good we also had chips they had been around a long time and tasted stale my husband's beef curry was okay but below par safe to say we won't be going back.
Walked in as I wanted to take my two kids for a dining-in chinese meal and was greeted by a run down restaurant, dimly lit and full of teenagers lounging over the chairs and sitting on bikes, it clearly just a doss house now. I was told by one of them that's its takeout and cash only now. Would not recommend!
As I exited my mode of transportation, I could smell the food. I had to intervene before my nose and mouth combined formed a coup over my body. I ran into the building and ate, it was amazing.

Takeaway. Late delivery cold, absolutely inedible. Went in bin spoilt meal kids were looking forward to, waste of £35.00 would definitely not recommend. Not one thing was nice .
Used this Chinese for years but they have recently change their chef and the food isn’t great. Really poor quality. What a shame.
