On a trip to east coast and after an over dose of seafood we decided to try our this place based purely on reviews. It was packed when we arrived at 7:30, glad we made a reservation before hand.We ordered their house lemon iced tea, and chrysanthemum tea. For appetizers we ordered beef satay and laksa soup with chicken. The food and drinks arrived very quickly. The beef satay was exceptional, as per our son who is kind of an expert on satay ; the peanut sauce was just perfect! the laksa was great too, it’s not too spicy certainly not as spicy as we had in Singapore. Simply Classy! The perfect place for a lovely Thai/Malaysian lunch. Infact, this place has a diverse version of the typical 'Malaysian ' food. The ambience is soothing, clean washrooms and the food is really good. Not huge portion sizes, but great tasting and satisfying. We are always up for a different ethnic cuisine. Very plain, clean restaurant just off the main street. Friendly service. Started with vegetable spring rolls and Roti Canai. Menu description for the spring rolls said mini but they were normal sized. The Rot Canai itself was good, but we didn 't care for the accompanying curry sauce. Stir Fry Noodle with beef was very flavorful. Char Siu Wontons Noodle was really good, something we 'd never tasted before. Several patrons seemed to be local regulars.
We are so glad we found this restaurant. The food was amazing and the service excellent. The food tasted so authentic to Malaysian cooking. Not every restaurant is what they advertise but this one is a true gem. We had the laksa soup, and shared a beef rendang (dry curry) and a mee gorend (Manalysian Indian-style fried noodles). Loved the food. You can order the extra sauce; you'll want to slurp it back. The service was polite but be prepared that parking is a bit of an issue, so plan for that and don't take it out on the staff : A great addition to DT.Parking: Parking is limited so walk from work if you can or plan a little extra time to get yourself a spot.Dietary restrictions: They had lots of gluten-free options and had all different types of accommodations listed.
3 days into a business trip to Moncton we had all become tired of fried food and we missed vegetables (french fries don't count as veggies! . We found this place and we were very pleased. The food was good, fresh, flavourful and reasonably priced. The service was great. There were a couple of tasty beers we hadn't heard of before. Definitely worth another visit the next time I'm in town.
Having vacation time in maritime for 2 weeks and been to this restaurant for few times. The food and service made me feel like I m back to my home land Malaysia. Their laksa, mamak mee goreng, roti, rendang, mee Siam, butter cream chicken, satay.....to many to name, are truly authentic. The server is very friendly and helpful, best service ever.
We went to this restaurant while I was visiting Moncton and it was a fantastic meal. I am living in Toronto and this restaurant is comparable to any of the Asian restaurants in Toronto.
