Went and ordered cheddar cheese on my food as I have an allergy to American cheese. The first time they brought it out it had American i politely sent it back and apologized profusely because I hate being that person, but again I do have an allergy to it. It was obvious it was America by the look, texture, and it was tasted by someone at my table. They then bring it back and the server says I watched them do it it's all cheddar, when you can look at it and see clearly on the potato's is two different cheeses. 1/4 of it is cheddar the other 3/4s is American which in the picture attached you can clearly see not to mention after tasting it you can taste the difference. The food was great and reasonably priced. However the server was extremely rude. She began to rush off after taking me and my wife 's drink order and we stopped her to order milk for our two year old. She gave an answer with much attitude and rushed away. Our daughter was very reasonably behaved for a two year old, she didn 't scream or act out the whole time (for once) but after we ate my wife saw the server at the counter and went to ask for the check to speed things up and she saw my wife coming and said to her the check right? Nice long island diner that features some great typical diner food and good service. Now the actual look and feel of the diner is a little dated, but the food is always good and service always fast and rather friendly. My favorite dish by far is their Mykonos salad, the chicken is always cooked great, the feta is delicious, and the dressing is fantastic. They also have some great burgers, soups, and breakfast options. Definitely recommend if your in the Wantagh area.
The food here is great and the owner is so nice! The burger here is great! Also, I have a severe peanut allergy, and the hamburger buns say, Made in a peanut and tree nut FREE FACILITY.
