After not visiting this restaurant for some time, we were surprised to find that the prices had increased significantly. My wife ordered the parmesan-encrusted whitefish, which appeared appetizing and was a generous portion, but lacked flavor. The accompanying sides of spinach and mashed potatoes were nothing special and seemed like dishes that could be easily made at home. Overall, the meal was decent but somewhat disappointing. I opted for the cioppino, a dish I usually enjoy, and given its high price on the menu, I had high expectations. Unfortunately, it turned out to be the worst cioppino I have ever tasted. It's a very nice and accommodating spot! Hot food was hot, cold food was cold. The server and host were very attentive and professional. Food was very good in its presentation and taste, although I thought the food could use a bit more salt in general. The octopus was great, as was the scallop special. The girlfriend loved the crab cakes. Prices were on par with a restaurant of this quality. It's definitely worth a try. Service: Dine in
I called on 5/4 at 5PM to make a reservation for a birthday dinner at 7PM on 5/9. Despite driving 28 miles in rush hour traffic, I arrived to find the restaurant closed. A call to the restaurant revealed that they were closed on 5/9. Upon returning home, I found a voicemail left less than 3 hours before our reservation stating that the restaurant was closed due to staffing issues. We were already on our way. Extremely disappointed.
My friends took me there for my birthday celebration. What amazing food,. Our server Steven is top notch ! When I go again,. I will definitely ask for him ! Everything was Perfect. This is our second visit to this restaurant and once again we had an excellent dining experience and service at City Grill. I am already looking forward to coming back for more. Our server, John, was outstanding.

The food was tasty and made with fresh ingredients. The drinks were exceptional. This restaurant surpasses others in the Metro Detroit area. I highly recommend it.
