My partner and I have been coming here for years, its our go to restaurant.Whether we’re here for a cocktail before an event, an intimate dinner for two, a get together or celebrations with friends, we always have a great night. We're always greeted with a warm smile and the staff go out of their way to ensure a great dining experience. They serve 'THE BEST' martini's in the city and there is a great selection of French wines all at very reasonable prices.The Chateaubriand is a favourite of ours. A family and friend birthday gathering - (14 pax) had us in an upstairs separate room/area with it's own bar and impeccably decorated venue. Pre-dinner drinks and plenty of room to stand and mingle to say "hi" to start with. Giant table with comfortable seating. The menu was a struggle as I could not make up my mind (note to self - go back and eat your way through the menu) as everything sounded fabulous. I waited until I saw what my family selected, that way there was always a possibility of a little sample of others, just to make sure my family was OK with what they chose :)I started with "dome of smoked salmon, crab and celeriac romoulade served with avocado dressing and brioche croutons"...
We had a very good meal at Claire's Kitchen and found the staff to be very welcoming and attentive. Once seated we were given bread whilst we perused the menu. Having chosen the tuna to start with which we both enjoyed we shared the Chateaubriand which was a substantial meal but although delicious in flavour was a tad overcooked for rare. We don't normally have a desert but we couldn't resist. We had a lovely evening, the price was reasonable for Sydney and we would like to return before too long.
I am enjoying another wonderful meal here. Marc is a great host and the chef is always excellent. The cocktails are absolutely to die for. The Bastille dinner is sold out as expected. The mushroom cappuccino is divine. Wine list is interesting and if you are a serious wine person and willing to drop a couple of $100 you can get exceptional wine with dinner. The menu offers a wide range of French Cusine - I had stopped in for cheese and dessert.I opted for the chesse board ( 4 cheeses provided) and a creme brulee for dessert. Both options were well presented and delicious. I also had a glass of red wine with the cheese, a glass of dessert wine and a bottle of sparling water - total cost $82.Service was impeccable, very friendly, professional and attentive.

Staying nearby for work and found this lovely little French restaurant (yes the waiters are French). Good food ( I especially enjoyed the scallops which was an entree but they offered to do it as a main), good service, good French wines and lovely ambience. Most enjoyable! And I felt very comfortable being there as a solo diner.
Lovely attentive service and great atmosphere. Very unassuming by the location. Loved our soufflé entree and steak tartare. Lemon Meringue with Bday Sparkler was perfection. Visited here for a romantic dinner and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The staff are very welcoming and professional, the ambiance and decor are classic French fare, the wine list adequate and the food is rich, classic French....overall, a great night.
