Great place! Me and my husband ordered the cheese and charcuterie board with 3 items (we chose 2 cheeses and one meat). All the boards come with bread, jam, grapes and mustard. Everything was very very good specially the drunken goat cheese and the fig jam. After that I tried a very generous slice of the fudge cake, which was perfectly balanced for me, not too sweet. Claret Wine is a true hidden gem in the neighborhood! Having lived in Sunnyside for three years, I keep coming back regularly. Kevin and Jaci, the owners, genuinely care about their business and the community, which shines through in their carefully curated menu and exceptional wine selection. They also offer a fantastic variety of live music events each week. Without a doubt, Claret Wine offers the best happy hour in the area! My favorite dishes from their menu, beyond the delicious charcuterie board and flatbreads, are the truffle mac n cheese, mussels pil pil, and meatballs. Favorite spot in Sunnyside! Claret is such a wonderful gem, and my husband and I have been regulars for years. A great variety of excellent drinks, beautiful space with a view of the trees in Sunnyside Gardens, and run by the best people. Jaci and Kevin are so kind and always make us feel like family. Every time we’re there we either see friends from the neighborhood walking by or they’re also going to Claret. Just such a charming spot with a personal neighborhood feel. It’s pretty perfect and always our go-to.
I visited Claret Wine during happy hour and I'm thrilled I did! The selection was fantastic, and the service was outstanding. I enjoyed a bottle of wine paired with a charcuterie board, mussels, olives, and pâté—all of which were superb. Jacki and Jen were attentive and guided us through our options. I’m already looking forward to returning and trying more dishes from the menu!
