I was here for the first time in October of 2022. I was impressed. I returned just under a year later and while the food was good, it was less impressive than last time. The menu has been altered and there's less on it. That's not a bad thing, but that means everything needs to be done well. And while it was good, it wasn't great. I ordered a Cubano sandwich. First off, a Cubano is a pressed sandwich. This one was not. Provided everything else is correct I can let that slide, but it wasn't. They had the standard ingredients, mustard, ham, pork, cheese, and technically pickles... but the pickles in mine were tiny slivers and there were so few you couldnt even taste them. We took our friends from Canada to the Clarkston Union Bar and Kitchen for lunch. The food was exceptional. I ordered the Turkey burger and vegetarian chili. Both dishes were delicious. Our friends ordered the burger and grilled cheese. I have never had a bad meal from this restaurant. My only complaint is the noise/volume can get rather high so it makes it difficult to hear, but there is outside seating. The Clarkston Union Bar Kitchen is definitely a favourite of ours and a place we plan to come back and visit.
