We're on holiday in Canberra and decided to hop in our rental car and head to Batemans Bay on the coast. We spotted the sign that said ice cream at Clyde Treats and went inside to see what was on offer. The first thing I have to say is we received a warm welcome from the older gentleman behind the counter. It took us a wee while to choose what flavours to have because there were so many yummy sounding flavours. There was no pressure and we were able to take our time - deciding on ice cream flavours is serious business - you want to make the right choice. We went in for icecream as we had on a previous visit to the bay and received friendly, warm service. Our twin boys were celebrating their 7th birthday, which they told the gentleman. His wife approached our table with 2 pieces of slice on a plate, both with candles and some sweets surrounding it. They sang happy birthday to the delight of the boys. Such wonderful service that will remain a wonderful memory. Great icecream and Gelato too.
Stopped here on the drive back to Sydney from Eden. Ate a thoroughly tasty roast roll (I had beef and my boyfriend had pork - both home-cooked and in a warm crusty roll) which were reasonably priced at just $7.95 each. We shared a homemade sticky date pudding with caramel sauce and ice cream - so decadent! Highly recommended cafe with very friendly service!
My daughter and I fancied a sweet treat on Saturday night. It was steamy hot so we popped in here. They could not have been more friendly and welcoming. They even offered Alice a taster as she was torn between two flavours. I was very sad to see that the business is for sale. It will be really sad to see such attentive service disappear from the bay.

Unpretentious, offering simple quick and tasty favourites. Great toasted sandwiches cakes and coffe, served efficiently with a big smile and a quick chat. Not over sophisticated but all you need for a lovely small lunch or to feed all the kids sundaes/ healthy yogurts and smoothies. Nice view toward the river adds that holiday feeling
While sitting in this café having a coffee, I watched the owner cleaning a table after diners left and he took the plates into the street and scaped the leftovers onto the road. I was appalled. I will not go back there. but I do hope that they do not continue this behaviour
Had lunch by the ocean, then called into Clyde Treats for an ice cream. Great service, bubbly staff, very clean shop and prices were great, highly recommend this venue. Will visit again!
Thanks for the best ice cream and for the wonderful service you provide we went three times in one week, our tummy's loved it, our diet not so much. Haha, we will definitely be back! :)

Very friendly reception. Good selection of home made food. Delicious soups and hotpot. Wonderful selection of ice cream. Recommend a visit.
This has had a makeover and freshly backed goodies are on offer with coffee and a selection of lovely lunch treats
