today, because our village experienced a 48-hour penalty cut during the great storm of 2022. while they were busy, they succeeded in coming to a late lunch on Sunday. very acceptable eating to very reasonable trips served by a young and helpful team in front of the house. Do not forget the kitchen staff too. perhaps not cordon bleu kitchen, but for healthy eating that hit the place during a 'minor' crisis. excellent!

Had a good quality and value for money dinner here with my girlfriend. I had the fish and chips with mushy peas which was tasty. The drinks were also reasonable. This pub is much cheaper than the gastro pubs elsewhere in Long Melford.

Sunday lunch, glad we booked! Very busy which was great to see after such a dire year with Lockdowns. Loads of friendly, helpful staff. Great Sunday Roasts and good Greene King ales.

I had a great lunch today. all staff were nice and very helpful eating was very good and very valuable. not too expensive as most pubs. will come back soon.

Very nice. Dropped in for a light lunch. The Eggs Benedict were perfect and good value. Staff were polite and friendly. Hit the spot perfectly.
