"This is a charming space, though at a table for four near the door, we felt cramped and too hot. The menu, which blends Spanish and French influences, was excellent, as was the very attentive service. Overall, a great night out!"

I'm a little glad that I discovered this place after I left NYC because I would have come here all the time and destroyed my liver and my wallet. This restaurant is perfect for date night or a party of 4 (no more than 4). As all the other reviewers are saying, it's small, intimate, perfectly dimly lit (without being so dark that you need to get your phone out to look at the menu). Highly recommend waiting to see what the specials were because we ended up changing half of our order after the server described them to us. Shishito peppers spicy!!! Very good App specials: Bay scallops (little flavor bombs) and BBQ rib skewers (solid) Pork basque (braised pork shoulder) Perfect for those cold NYC...

We made a last-minute brunch reservation on a snowy weekend. Here’s what we ordered: - **Ricotta Pancakes ($14)**: Made with blueberries, these pancakes were decent—nothing particularly memorable, but I’d consider ordering them again. - **French Toast ($14)**: Served with whipped cream and strawberries, we found this to be better than the pancakes, but honestly, it was pretty standard. - **Butternut Squash Soup ($10)**: A friend ordered this, and I thought it was actually quite nice—flavorful and perfect for a chilly day. - **Drinks ($14)**: This is what left me a bit frustrated. We ordered one bellini and one mimosa, neither of which we finished. Both had seeds floating in them. While it’s...

There are a lot of good, but not amazing places in NYC. Cocotte is definitely one I would deem as amazing. Everything about this places is charming. I love the vibe of the restaurant from the marble tiles on the ceiling to the chalkboard walls. It is a super cute and cozy hole in the wall date spot! I went at 5pm, but I would recommend going at 6:30/7pm so you can order the specials. I definitely want to come back and order the squid and paella special! Dishes we loved: -Chou-Fleur: Cocotte of Cauliflower in Bechamel Gratin. Surprisingly amazing!! so so good! Soft yet crunchy baked cheese topping. -Duck Confit Foie Gras: You can actually taste the pieces of duck confit you can feel it. The p...

Probably a good definition of NYC brunch. It's small french/spanish place that's hidden in an underground space in SoHo. Service was fantastic and food is almost at its perfection. We tried the scrambled egg which was so soft and butterly with mushrooms. Mushroom wasn't a lot of portion and they were small but the egg was amazing. Egg benedict was pretty good and they put a lot of ham to it. They are served with amazing potato wedges and greens that are crunchy. I liked the scrambled egg better than the benedict though. We also tried the french toast which is almost like dessert which has caramel on top. It's so good but probably better as dessert than a meal. I really liked the cozy ambianc... Cute little French/ Spanish restaurant in west village. It's a tiny place so making reservations before going is suggested. I arrived earlier and sat in the little bar while waited for my friends. Got the happy hour rose sangria for $6. It was pretty unique but I wasn't too crazy about it. They put lots of ice too. Food was good. We ordered the mussels and scallops for appetizers. The mussels were good but the scallops were tiny. For main dishes, we got the monk fish, black rice risotto and the hanger steak. All 3 very good. For dessert we tried both tarts: lemon and chocolate. I liked the lemon one although I wouldn't order it again. Service was great. Our waiter was very attentive and frie...

What a fantastic spot for a date night! The restaurant is small, which creates an intimate atmosphere, yet it doesn't feel overcrowded like some NYC places. The ambiance is calm and chic, making it ideal for a pleasant dinner. We chose the white Rioja for wine since we had never seen that option before, and it was wonderfully light and smooth. For appetizers, we ordered the scallops and squid, and both were outstanding—I'd happily eat them every day! We also tried the pork Basque dish, which was tender and juicy. The lentil side was a refreshing complement, especially on a chilly night. Everything we tried was delicious, and the service was excellent. This hidden gem offers a unique blend of...

Had a great dinner and great service at this place. The fillet mignon steak with shaved truffle and truffle butter served with mushrooms was a great surprise! Special for the day. Mussels are very garlicky and just enough bread crumbs. The mushrooms was stuffed with minced chorizo and some ham on top. Brussel sprouts are so good burnt or caramelized. The squid with ink was also very garlicky and heavenly! I wish it was main course. Black ink risotto with shrimp on top (only 2) had a delicious orange sauce. I think it was saffron. It was so good! We only had 1 dessert the chocolate tart. We were so full! I shall return!!

Came here for brunch with a couple gfs and this place absolutely surpassed my expectations. This small bistro in soho excels in all its brunch items. I ordered the poached eggs with smoked salmon. We shared the chocolate tart which was one of the best tarts I've ever had. Place is a bit small and intimate, so I wouldn't recommend it for large groups. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

Cocotte is one of the authentic and great real french cuisine restaurant in NYC. Chef Sebastian is greatest french chef. However, This is restaurant has closed due to Covid-19. So SAD!!!! I will wait until Chef Sebastian be back.
