Just happened to park right outside this cafe. So many unremarkable coffee shops on high street these days that it 's a gamble each time you visit one. BUT this gamble paid off. I had a 3 shot Cappuccino and a bacon and egg on brown teacake. I made no further requests. The lovely, pleasant chatty lass brought my coffee to the table immediately (I have balance problems) and the butty arrived a couple of minutes later. A bacon sandwich is such a basic package yet it 's saddening how many bad ones are served. Not this one Soft, fresh bap, well filled with CRISPY bacon and runny egg with a creamy yolk. I'm not sure if we just came on a bad day, but the two young women serving us were as cheerful as our teenage son - that is to say, not at all. They gave us no smiles and rolled their eyes frequently. My husband ordered a latte which he enjoyed, but my hot chocolate was lukewarm and tasted like powdered mix. We both ordered paninis, which came with wilted, brown-edged iceberg lettuce. My turkey, cranberry, and stuffing panini was also lukewarm and not very appetizing. It made me feel ill and gave me indigestion for the rest of the day. I was extremely disappointed because the restaurant seemed like a cozy place.
Oh my What a lovely place. Been a few times but this time the lady was so lovely who was serving me. They have the best salad bar with homemade dressings and fillings like sweet potato pakora. Olives, feta and different pasta. Great value for money and the lady even said I could choose another filling as I wasn’t eating and of the protein/meat options. Their baked items are lovely too I had an apple slice which was so fresh and gorgeous. Rare find this place with lovely attentive staff.
We went for brunch at this restaurant today. The staff, service, and ambiance were all excellent. My husband liked his poached eggs on toast, even though the presentation could have been better. I enjoyed my toasted teacake, but I noticed that it had been cooked using a panini toaster, giving it a different texture than I anticipated. Was so pleased I stumbled across this cute coffee shop, with such a lovely outdoor patio area. I had a really good coffee and a Mediterranean salad which was one of the most colourful and nutritious salads I have ever had not at home. Great value, and my friends sandwiches all got good compliments too- although I think the winner was the beef and Stilton! Will definitely be back
We have been ordering breakfast from this restaurant for a few months now, spending approximately £30 a week. Unfortunately, we have found that the staff can be rude and unwelcoming in the shop. Additionally, our orders have often come back incorrect or overcooked. The prices are exorbitant for the quality of food, with a sausage sandwich costing £3.50.
My husband and I call for lunch and what a pleasant surprise.We ordered a meal deal of homemade soup and freshly prepared sandwich.The soup was delicious chicken Alfredo and open tunamelt panini with plenty of filling.Highly recommend will definitely go again and give the homemade cakes a try next time
