I went with the traditional bandeja paisa, a classic Colombian dish that I had been eager to try. Once again, the portion size was remarkable for the cost. My plate included rice, beans, steak, Colombian sausage, fried pork, corn cake, avocado, a fried egg, and plantains. I could barely finish half of it, which is noteworthy since I usually have a big appetite! Mine was about $14, but it was absolutely worth every cent. We cannot recommend this charming and authentic Colombian restaurant enough for anyone looking for delicious food, substantial portions, and reasonable prices. My wife and I plan to return soon, and we can’t wait to bring our friends and family along!
What a wonderful little restaurant! I don't usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to share the incredible experience we had there today. The owner welcomed us with warmth and ensured we felt right at home. The beans and rice were some of the best we’ve ever tasted in the U.S., and the sweet corn bread with cheese was cooked to perfection. Everything is made fresh—there are no frozen foods here! If you’re in the area, be sure to stop by for a Café con Leche and some freshly baked bread, or try the beef steak with rice, beans, and eggs. The only regret we have is that we didn’t visit sooner. We will certainly be returning!
The Bandeja Paisa was remarkable and brought me back to my childhood, evoking memories of my Colombian mother's cooking. The Empanadas were also fantastic! I had never tried an Empanada con Queso before, which is essentially an Arepa de Choclo in empanada form. It was a delightful and unique experience! I've enjoyed many Arepas and Empanadas in my lifetime, but this one truly stood out.
I experienced poor service at this restaurant. Despite calling in my order, it wasn't ready, and I had to wait an additional 15 minutes. I made the call to avoid waiting, so I was quite frustrated. I'm updating my review to share some photos. These empanadas are amazing! Make sure to ask for them to be made fresh to order, although they typically come out hot and fresh. They're the ideal snack for when you're feeling hangry!
This restaurant doesn't deserve even one star. I called to place my order at 1:40, and by 2:20, it still wasn't ready. When I got there, they made me wait even longer. The service was awful. I won't be returning.
