I visited Concettina for the first time to meet up with family, and it's a charming little place with a cozy, softly lit atmosphere. I ordered the veal parmigiana with penne Pomodoro, and the veal was truly exceptional! The sauce was outstanding, which is high praise coming from someone very particular about pasta sauces. My family opted for the flounder special, and everyone enjoyed it. We also shared fried calamari as an appetizer, which was fantastic, along with the other starters we tried. Everything was excellent, and the service was friendly, patient, and accommodating. Even though we're from out of state, I will definitely be returning!
What a wonderful experience! We had my mother’s birthday dinner tonight and were impressed! Easy parking, inviting welcome, and seated immediately. For starters we had the mixed seafood, especially loved the calamari and shrimp. The grilled octopus was tender. The buffalo mozzarella excellent. I had the cacio a Pepe perfectly prepared al dente. Chicken Francese was delicious and also tried my mother’s veal special breaded and topped with Parmesan. I love that the food was tasty but didn’t feel heavy. Our wonderful server made the frothiest cappuccino and with it a light airy chocolate terrine, a perfect end to a perfect evening. Thank you!
I've dined at this restaurant so frequently that you could say I've become addicted. As the saying goes, variety is the spice of life, and I love to switch things up by trying different dishes each time. I'm always impressed by how fresh and flavorful everything is. My friends share my enthusiasm for the food, and no matter how full I am, I can't resist ordering dessert—tiramisu and panna cotta are my favorites! The outdoor seating area is heated and incredibly cozy, making it an inviting place to enjoy a meal. Anyone who visits won't be disappointed!
Concettina truly captures the essence of New York! Located in Queens, the moment you walk in, you feel that classic New York vibe. You're warmly greeted at the door or noticed at your table, which adds a charming touch. While many places have lost that authentic New York character, this restaurant holds onto it perfectly. The food is outstanding—from the first bite to dessert, everything was delicious, as if a loving grandmother prepared it in the kitchen. Even the bathrooms were spotless! I can’t wait to return!

The staff is incredible. The food is traditional Italian, and the owner makes fresh pasta daily—you'd never guess it wasn’t made moments ago. It's some of the best pasta I've ever tasted. If you find yourself in New York, Queens, or New Jersey, I highly recommend stopping by. A perfect 10 out of 10!
Food was okay, nothing to rave about.. very loud in restaurant and overall not a place I would try again. Definitely much better Italian options in Whitestone.
