My wife and I had dinner at Coraima this evening whilst staying in Wakefield and what a delightful restaurant it is. The simple and authentically decor provides an instant relaxed atmosphere. We started with drinks. I had a Telba (a cold drink made with ground flax seeds) and my wife had a Beso (a cold, slightly sweet roasted barley drink). Both were delicious. For starters we shared a Beetroot Salad. It was very fresh with a delicately flavoured vinegar type dressing. As neither of us had had Abyssinian cuisine before, we decided to go for the 'Combination dish for two ' to give us an overall taster of their menu. A large round slate plate arrived with nine perfectly neat individual dishes...
Amazing experience today in this lovely restaurant in Wakefield today. The Menu is very big and all plant based. It was the first time we went today with a friend and my husband and we decided to let the chef surprises us with a Combo mixed plate. Never better decision!! We got a huge sharing plate full of pulses and veggies: everything was absolutely delicious!! The owner was extremely polite and friendly and he explained with care and passion every single dishes. We will definitely come back to this restaurant and we strongly recommend it. Fabulous experience. Thank you
Myself and my partner celebrated our anniversary here on a mid week evening. The service from start to finish was exceptional, we don't feel we've ever experienced service quite like it. We can't fault Corarima on anything: food, service and atmosphere all above the rest. We aren't vegetarian or vegan, and haven't tried Ethiopian cuisine before so it was quite out of our comfort zone but everything was so tasty and felt really authentic and family owned.
Amazing. Five friends, two of whom were very sceptical expected to struggle with the menu options . All five of us were absolutely delighted. Fantastically tasty food beautifully presented (had the mixed platter for four a few sides). Incredibly clean, personal service a relaxing atmosphere. Zero pretence, how very refreshing. Those who don’t do vegetarian restaurants or even vegan cuisine, prepare to have your expectations turned around. The food is outstanding. It’s delicious, and nutritious and served by a wonderful host. Honestly, neither of us are veggies, but we love this place as something a bit different. Highly recommend the coffee at the end of the meal.
This gem came under my radar after a beaming recommendation. After two trips and a take away I am happy to join the congregation. From the warm customer service to the elegant presentation this is an Abyssinian experience deserving of all the commendation. So get yourself there pronto it’s a stone-throw from the train station.
Amazing food and Tasty Ethiopian coffe ! My husband and i enjoyed The whole experience from start to finish is great the owner and staff is always so friendly and kind. The place was so clean and Always a great spot to get great food. Everything is so tasty, you cannot restraint yourself from having all of the dishes.
