I am a huge fan of the Corktown neighborhood in Detroit. My first visit to Cork Gabel did not disappoint. I was impressed by the menu, which offered a unique twist on Irish and German cuisine, fitting for the area. I particularly enjoyed the Benny and Omelette section, as I prefer savory dishes. Despite the popular demand, we were able to find seating at the bar immediately and received excellent service. I look forward to returning for brunch and hope to try their dinner menu soon.
The restaurant had a very unique and stylish atmosphere. Our waiter provided excellent service. The staff were energetic and seemed to genuinely enjoy their work. Our food arrived quickly and was correct, but the flavors were just average. While the presentation was impressive, our group of seven found the taste to be lacking excitement. We may stop by again if we're in the area, but likely won't go out of our way to visit.
I was searching for a special place to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday, and Cork and Gabel did not disappoint. Our group of 12 was impressed by the atmosphere, appetizers, entrees, and overall ambiance. The restaurant manages to deliver high-quality food quickly without compromising on style or flavor. They made his birthday unforgettable, and I am grateful for the amazing experience. Can't wait to return!
First time here! The best part was the Irish coffee! AWESOME BARTENDER! I would come weekly just for that.. lol the service by Stephanie was good as well (that's why the Fourth STAR), our table love condiments and because they are stingy with EVERYTHING! Syrup, ketchup, jelly etc etc so we had her running!! All in All breakfast was tasty. Plus Clean environment, I say give em' a try for sure!! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
This is quite possibly THE best eatery in the Detroit area. The food and staff are amazing. The bartenders were very friendly and accommodating, as the the hostess. She was able to seat us earlier than expected and was very pleasant to us and our party. I cannot say enough great things about this place.
The food was wonderful, our waitress, Gabby, was attentive, polite, and recommended the cinnamon rolls, which were FANTASTIC! My moms burger was cooked perfectly and the Irish coffee was smooth and delicious! I live in the area and will definitely be back!
First time... Great place. Bigger than I thought. Easy parking. Food was DELICIOUS! The German Doner (gyero) was fantastic. Lots of non-meat meals too. Good craft cocktail drinks ... Bartender will make what you want. Definitely coming again.
Finally was able to stop in cool place food was good, drinks were good and our server was awesome! I had the Cajun Alfredo it was good would get something different next time. My husband had a burger and loved it Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
