This restaurant review describes the writer's first Christmas lunch of the season, which set a high standard for future meals. The meal consisted of up to 3 courses for a little over £30. The special Christmas menu offered some options that were also available on the regular menu, but the turkey ballotine was the standout choice. The dish, surrounded by roast vegetables and served with gravy, was described as large, flavorful, and succulent. The lamb dish was also enjoyed with great compliments. The food was well presented and served by a friendly and talkative host. The writer is tempted to return for another meal at the restaurant.

Last night, we had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant. Despite not having a reservation, we were seated quickly and served drinks while we perused the menu. The service was outstanding and the food was delicious. I highly recommend the mushroom ravioli and my husband thoroughly enjoyed the Sunday special chicken. For dessert, we both tried the mandarin posset with shortbread, which was refreshing with a citrus kick. Overall, we had a wonderful evening and will definitely be returning in the near future. Thanks to the team for a fabulous experience!

Recommended by friends, they weren't wrong. What a fantastic place to eat, the menu was varied with a good choice. The food itself, lamb meatballs with tomato sauce and calamari for starters, followed by paella and Sirloin Steak (served with the biggest steak knife I have ever seen) all 4 dishes were cooked to perfection, tasted fantastic and could not be faulted. The staff were very attentive without being overbearing, service was ideally spaced between the courses. Great meal, thank you

We reserved our Christmas team outing for 8 people on a busy Friday night. The food was exceptional and every staff member went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us. The bars located upstairs and outside were perfect for continuing our evening after dinner, and the bar staff made sure everyone was served promptly. Thank you for a wonderful experience! Visitedfrom Australia to see family.went to the Cosmopolitan for Sunday lunch.I could not have booked a better place, The staff there were attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu.we had a traditional English Sunday roast of roast beef and it was all cooked to perfection. Will definitely visit there on my next trip from Australia next year'

Popped for lunch as a couple. Service was brilliant. Food was tasty hot and fresh! The chicken strips are to die for. The menu has a great variety of options. The restaurant has recently been added to the taste card too so a cheeky 25% off the bill. Bonus! We Will definitely come back to try the bottomless brunch!

Came for my daughters 18th birthday meal and woe it's was fabulous. The service was fast and efficient. We felt welcome from the moment we walked through the door. The food was amazing and the hospitality was just spectacular. We will 100% be back soon, we loved every minute.

What a great find in the heart of Chorley! The food is amazing and the staff are fantastic! A real treat! Been several times recently and always been delighted. We will be back!

Gorgeous food and drinks, 5* service ! Sea bass was beautiful and tiramisu soaked in ameretto was our favourite yum!!
