I have been here quite a few times. Found the staff generally friendly and attentive. Coffee is ok. Atmosphere is good. But at times, it 's advertised as closing at 5:30pm and then you get a coffee at sat 4:40 hoping for a good sit down and chilling with yo coffee, and then we 're closing at 5pm! Not good. It 's why I rarely go the Huyton Village Costa now. Many shops stay open till 6pm or 7pm. No customers and the shop eventually closes. In America, they say the customer is always right and/or the customer is king. Here in good ol ' Blighty, it still veers between ok to like it or lump it. Not good enough! This place used to be absolutely amazing when Julie was there. There are now new staff who aren't anywhere near as good in their Barista skills. The drinks are half hearted, there's no latté art. The lady who I assume is the manager doesn't seem to care. There's no interaction any more between the staff and customers. The staff are either always talking to eachother it laughing at something on their phones. It's such a shame because this used to be my favourite coffee shop, now it's just a dump. Speaking of a dump, it's so filthy now too and the smell of toilet resonates around the store. Get in their Optimum and sort the place out!
I was craving a large black Americano and decided to visit this branch while walking through the village of Huyton. The two ladies working in the store were very pleasant, especially the manager, Catherine. I was impressed by the level of service I received. A customer resembling a 'Karen' came back into the store complaining that her latte tasted like coffee, and was very rude. Catherine handled the situation admirably. I would definitely go back again, rating it a 5 out of 7.
Totally changed atmosphere from previous managers owners Cleanliness poor but appears the norm expected. Dirty , messy preparation coffee machines. Staff totally uninterested in cleaning . Observed serval milks being mixed to makes drink regardless of type of milk asked for . Prices for tea differ to-other Costa shops . Tables not cleaned , messy all round appearance

I visited this amazing restaurant a couple of days ago and I have to say, every time I come here I receive the best service from three amazing staff members named Catherine, Jamie, and Gabi. They all made my day and were lovely to talk to, going above and beyond for me. I will definitely be back to visit soon as I am a big fan of their decaf coffee.
The latte was weak, almost watery. The staff were friendly and the rest of my group enjoyed their drinks, but I was not satisfied with my latte. I suggest improving the quality of the coffee. I would recommend getting a better tasting coffee at the Wetherspoons across the street.
Two female staff behind till, laughing and joking and checking their phones whilst a long queue waited to be served! Drinks were okay, although prices have increased and sizes have decreased which is not good. Not the nice place it used to be.
