I would caution against using the services at this location. I typically stop here to top up before getting on the M6, but this time I chose to have lunch at Costa. After only staying for 40 minutes, I received a parking ticket from Euro Car Parks. I appealed the ticket, but it was rejected on the absurd basis that only 30 minutes of parking is allowed. I will continue to dispute this, but it is frustrating to have to spend time on it. My recommendation is to avoid this place, as it appears to be running a scam with their parking regulations.
Disgusting-despite providing cafe facilities, with tables and WiFi this site will hit you with a £100 parking fine if you stay any longer than 30 mins!! Its not clearly signposted, and I knew nothing about the charge till it arrived through the letter box!! Its a services off a main motorway, where your encouraged to 'take a break ' so you don 't drive tired!!! I 'll definitely not be using it again, and would advise people to stay away!
This is a handy coffee shop at the BP Garage only yards from Junction 27 of the M6 and a short distance from Wrightington Hospital. It is a proper Costa Coffee Shop with barista’s, there’s not many tables but quite cosy with nice coffee. I have been here several times and always been pleased with the staff and drinks they provide, which are cheaper than the drinks at M6 Charnock Richard Services 2 miles away.
BE CAREFUL OF PARKING TIME. Only 30 mins parking allowed and signage isnt obviously visible when you enter. fill up, buy some snack and get a coffee and you could well be over the 30mins limit allowed. Not long enough for a coffee to be drunk at a reasonable pace if 'eating in ' Won 't be using this again as there is no way to 'refund ' for genuine visitors if you receive a ticket.

Terrible set up. I stayed for lunch and opted to eat in. No-one told me that there’s a time limit on the car parking (even for cafe users) and I received a £100 charge for taking 48 minutes to eat my lunch which cost me extra for eating in!
This coffee shop is a hidden gem located in the back of a garage shop. The staff is pleasant and helpful. It is conveniently situated just off M6 junction 27, making it a better option than the usual motorway services.
Always a pleasant visit, called here many times on my way home and after hospital visits We call it the aquarium due to the toilet walls being decorated with various fish
I was served by Ella and she was incredibly kind to me. The caramel latte I ordered was the best I've ever had. Thank you for the amazing coffee!
