As a costa lover, I was disappointed with the service this afternoon. The shop door clearly states the store is open until 19:00, yet when we arrived at 4:45pm, the staff made it very clear they did not want us there. After shouting “Well we clearly aren’t going home at 7 tonight then!” loud enough for all customers to hear, they then began sweeping the shop floor at 5:10pm, starting in the area we happened to be seated, openly asking us if they could sweep underneath our seats even though they had not started sweeping any other area of the cafe. The coffee is overpriced, Wetherspoons, Macdonalds etc can do it for around a quid, and it tastes the same. They should get a machine in for people who dont want to queue forever. There is always a queue no matter when you go, and its always slowwww. They need more staff. Its the only coffee shop in crappy Swanley so you've got no choice. The thing that annoys me the most is there is a group of people that sit outside ALL DAY EVERY DAY! Its not a social club or care in the community! they take up at least 2 tables so its hard to get a table outside. Give them a time limit for gawds sake and let others sit down. Love to the staff tho they work hard.
Absolutely disgusting, have always loved a Costa as a treat, my mum was recently in darent valley hospital, It cost us a fortune for 3 every day we went to see her and we noticed it was being made with hot water instead of milk. Ok so decided visiting today to treat mum at the swanley Costa, again it was absolutely disgusting , made with hot water and a drop of milk, will definitely not be buying a Costa coffee again anywhere they should be ashamed of themselves, in the photos latte looks lovely but in real life!! Wasn’t a very pleasant visit when the ladies behind the counter are clearly in a miserable mood, letting it rub off on the customers… telling each other how they’d ‘had enough’ making it apparent for everyone to hear, which I appreciate we all have our days but to make the customers feel uncomfortable isn’t the way to go about it. Went I for a coffee tea with my wife take away cuos only!! Its been like that since before Christmas!! Poor excuses, cappachino was half coffee half froth despite asking for no froth (wet). After paying over £3 for it I at least expected a full cup!! Had been giving it a wide berth for a while but thought I would give it another shot really wish I hadn't!!! AVOID UNLESS YOU REALLY LIKE GETTING RIPPED OFF!!!
I like going to Costa Coffee. You know what you are getting. Unfortunately the Costa Coffee in Swanley Kent is the worst one I have been to. The service is slow staff seem to change all the time. The cafe itself is in need of a very deep clean. The windows, blinds and floor are filthy. The coffee was delicious as always. Would I go back there? No only to take away.
I went to Costa to grab a bite for my daughter and enjoy a coffee. Unfortunately, the bottle they gave us was too hot, the wait in line took 20 minutes, some of the staff had a bad attitude, and the restrooms were out of order. The only positive was a girl named Rose who was very friendly. However, I most likely won't be going back to Costa in Swanley.
I can not fault this Costa Coffee at all the staff here are amazing, they really make you feel welcome and also remember what drinks you have if you have been more than a few times.
