The Branch of Costa in the Cleveland Centre in Middlesbrough is undoubtedly the the most cramped and scruffiest one I have been in. Granted, it was busy but surely that is what you might expect in such a location; and all the more reason to make sure that the limited tables are made available by clearing and tidying them promptly. There was extra seating outside, but (a) it was a tad too cold for that and (b) many of the tables were occupied by various blokes who seemed to be using it as a smoking corner, with no coffees in sight. We went to a nearby Caffè Nero and the difference was polar, with roomy, clean and comfortable surroundings and quick service. And after our coffees we passed Cost...
Stopped in for a latte and cake whilst in the area working. Coffee is always consistently good with Costa just a shame that the service wasn 't up to the level. If the guy with the purple hair spent more time listening to what was being told to him, rather than discussing his social calendar with the young ladies then things might run better. Also tables not cleared or cleaned, and the manager shouting who wants another shift tomorrow.... doesn 't help. Close your eyes and sip your coffee and you could be in any Costa anywhere in the UK just don 't expect great service
A man kept trying to take pictures of me an my friend the whole time we were here, we told the staff because we felt really creeped out an noticed him staring at other women and staff, thought they would hv stopped him coming in. Came in a few days ago an he was sat there like normal an the staff were even calling him 'buddy '. It 's clear they don 't care about the safety of the customers I left straight away, none of my friends or family will ever come here again and I warn others not to too
I stopped by for a coffee after a long coach ride from Manchester to visit my partner. As soon as I entered, I felt a calming and welcoming atmosphere. The staff, a lady and gentleman working that morning, were incredible, helpful, and cheerful. Despite a queue of about 6 to 7 people, I only had to wait a couple of minutes for my coffee. The service was fast and friendly, with a smile. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Keep up the great work - those two make a fantastic team!

I stopped by this restaurant today for drinks and toasties. There were two guys serving, with the younger one being a bit energetic but it added to the fun atmosphere. It was quite busy, and we sat at the back near the toilets where the tables were a bit wobbly and could use some fixing. It would also be helpful to have more staff to keep an eye on things and tidy up. The food was tasty and the drinks, although a bit pricey, had a good variety to choose from.
I visited this Costa restaurant with my family several times this week. Unfortunately, we will not be returning. The female staff appear rather unsettling and not suitable for a professional work environment. It seems they could benefit from some church attendance. Their scary makeup and tattoos are quite alarming. It's concerning to see the direction this generation is heading in.
Staff were pleasant and served us quickly. There were plenty of tables free all were clean. Lots of choice for drink snacks. I ended up chosing the new Ruby Hot Choc a slice of the caramel hazelnut cake, both were divine.
Only visit this store a few times but last time no straws this time no cream to top my Frappe. The toilet seat loose no paper very unhygienic. Last visit. Bring back Starbucks.

Tables and chairs socially distanced and some located outside now as well. Still nicely set out inside. Staff are lovely, food and drink excellent.
Staff are lovely and polite always smiling and friendly. Clean place. Good atmosphere. I always like the hot chocolates.
