Courthouse Hotel - Tisch reservieren

I've been coming to the Courty for decades and it always delivers. There are some things you've just got to accept: the bar service can be slow, and the food can be a bit pricey for what it is. For instance, my family's last visit was because my daughter wanted to try the kitchen's new special: Nachos in a Can. It's great fun: a large can of corn chips, meat, beans, a little avocado and sour cream, and an American liquid cheese sauce to pour over it, It's definitely enough to feed two, but it does cost $35, and it's something which would take little prep and definitely has less than $10 worth of ingredients in it. So, fun to do once but hardly value for money. $35 can buy you a lot at other...

We were staying in Sydney and decided to explore a bit further afield and so glad we did. Newtown has a reputation for being cool and bohemian which I’m sure is true. What we found was a great place to have a couple of drinks and some tasty pub food away from the madding crowd and thousands of tourists in central Sydney. This is a place for locals, traditional pub with great atmosphere and a really cool beer garden which was well shaded by trees and fauna. Food was simple but tasty (nachos were fab). So glad we went and would revisit if back in the area.

Might now be the most expensive pub in Newtown (although The Bank probably beats it). The courtyard's nice and somehow often booked out but you can get a nicer atmosphere in the nearby park for a quarter the price.

If you want a cold beer etc, bistro feed and a beer garden full of character, an oasis of calm in a bustling Newtown....come here.

Great atmosphere, drinks and dj but wow the staff could do with some hospitality training … sour as lemons
