Strolling along the streets of Avignon old town the traveler is faced with a multitude of choices when it comes to food. We already had had some French food during our trip, so we decided to be "adventurous" and eat something different - and this is when we came across La Couscousserie de L'Horloge. The menu includes some vegetarian options but also dishes with chicken and lamb. I had initially decided to go with a chicken tagine, but our waiter recommended the lamb tagine - and right he was. This is the best couscous I have tasted outside of paris. The taste is superb and the setting with the hotel de ville in the background wonderful. Service may be a little slow but sit back and enjoy the experience. The Tunisian staff are very pleasant and I would recommend it.
One of the best vegetarian couscous I ate in my life. Thank you so much for your kindness for your welcome and for this place both so pretty with an incredible view of the place of the clock.
Excellent reception, excellent meals, service and very pleasant atmosphere. We were passing by because we are going back to Paris but we will keep a memorable souvenir.
