Crazy Bear Beaconsfield - Thai Restaurant

The food at the restaurant was delicious, but some dishes could have been warmer. The waitress was very friendly. We ordered 10 plates each from the set menu, and the starters were amazing. The mains were less impressive but still tasty. We had made a reservation weeks in advance and confirmed that the restaurant was participating in the government's 'eat out to help out' scheme. However, when we received the bill, the restaurant did not apply the £10 discount per person as promised. Unfortunately, our experience at the Thai restaurant did not meet our expectations. We were hoping for a wow factor upon entering, but instead found the place to be subpar and overcrowded. The lighting was too dim for any memorable photos. The service was lackluster, as we had to wave our hands to get attention from the staff. When we found a wooden stick in our food and complained, we were told it was expected as part of the preparation process. Very disappointing to see there was no track and trace and masks were optional for staff. I have been going to Crazy Bear for years and have never had any complaints about the staff or food but I will not be returning for a while. We did not feel safe as tables were not spread out in the restaurant, our server wasn 't wearing a mask, no track and trace and the bar was 'find your own table ' and nobody cared about social distancing or even personal space.

They advertised on the Eat Out To Help Out scheme and we booked on that basis. When the bill came they said that they had discontinued that arrangement. Not impressed. The music was an appalling monotonous thumping noise and way too loud, had to talk loudly to each other. Food was excellent however and the service friendly and helpful. Would we go back, no! My experience at this restaurant on a Sunday night was delightful. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Nina, our server, was fantastic and I can't wait to come back again soon.

Brilliant experience, food quality was outstanding. Tastiest Thai meal for a long time. Big shout out for a amazing waitress, not sure the name but she was Italian girl, made so welcoming.
