We visited Ty Gwechall on Sunday evening and were greeted very warmly and seated at a table for two. The selection of Buckwheat Galettes and Crepes on offer is so varied that making a choice can be difficult. We decided to have the ham, cheese and egg complet, followed with a sweet crepe of frangipane and salted butter caramel ice cream, this was then flambeed at the table. These were freshly cooked to order and were a tasty, buttery delight. We washed this down with a local farm cider. The range of local ingredients used is impressive and all the local producers are acknowledged in the informative menu. An extremely enjoyable experience of excellent Breton Cuisine. Booking recommended.
Its impossible not to love this little creperie - on entering your eyes have to adjust to the dim interior- and what few tables there are- will probly be reserved- its best to go 'off peak time' to even get in. I love to visit here to enjoy the freshly made locally sourced food. To be fair the menu isn't extensive- crepes and a couple of meat dishes- but its a pleasure to sit and relaxand read all the interesting placemats-and wall decoration.It isn't always open- its usually booked up- when it is open most of the tables are reserved-but this just adds to the joy of getting a table- ordering simple food- and enjoying a total Bretton taste experience.
There is something very special about Ty Gwechall. The fact that the produce used is local, the fact that the proprietor is always welcoming, the fact that the quality of the meals is of the highest quality. We eat out a lot in Central Brittany and we can honestly say this is by far our favourite place to eat.Ty Gwechall is very popular so Always best to book.John and Cherry
Extraordinary, the galettes are delicious, the products are local, delicious for a gourmet of crêpes as I am I have been delighted from beginning to end a warm welcome you would believe at home in the process of tasting a good recipe from great mother. There's going to be closed eyes you won't be disappointed. Thank you again for kindness and greed.
