We booked a family Xmas dinner. Firstly on Xmas eve I was emailed to say my booking had been cancelled. No apology or explanation. We had to drive to the pub at 10pm on xnas eve to sort it. Was told it was a computer glitch! However we had our booking When we arrived Xmas day the starters were acceptable albeit very small. But the mains were hugely disappointing. Roast potatoes soggy and cold. We supposedly had fillet steak but it wasn 't it also had puff pastrybwhich was undercooked and soggy also we were supposed to have creamed spinach but we had 2 stems of small brocolli. My sons roast beef was actually a steak cut into two. He had frozen peas and carrots. He should have had Brussels and...
Despite being very busy, Saturday before Christmas, the service was amazing! The food was, as always excellent, and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. One or two customers were being impatient, and rude, but the staff remained calm and perfectly mannered. Sad to see some guests being silly with food, such as taking 5 muffins each, but a moments wait and the next tray appeared, warm from the ovens. I have to add, the poached eggs were, again, perfect!
Had a lovely meal this evening with my husband and granddaughter. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Freddie was our waitress and she was very helpful and attentive, checking up on us occasionally but not overwhelming. The ribeye steak was probably the best I have had. Will definitely be making a return soon.
Come here occasionally with my father. Food is exactly what you would expect and good value. I have to add that Shana makes the whole experience better. Good sense of humour and cares about her customers. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
