I hate to be that person, but I have to mention the visual aspect. The location might not be the most appealing, but don't let that deter you. Just come here! The reason I rated the service and atmosphere 4 stars instead of 5 is that the server, likely the owner, speaks English as a second language. Some people might find that off-putting, but for me, it brought back fond memories of my dad and his restaurant, where English was also a second language. My husband and I decided to go try this little restaurant in the shopping center close to our house a few days ago and we were not disappointed at all. To start we had the chicken spring rolls and the wonton soup. They both were extremely good but the wonton soup was a definite new favorite. My husband got the chicken in onion and ginger sauce and I got the pan fried shrimp. We both shared a plate of chicken fried rice. I absolutely loved the pan fried shrimp, they were so delicious. I visited Mom Pop restaurant on a Saturday afternoon and was initially a bit hesitant due to its location, but the prices were appealing. When I picked up my order from the owner, I noticed he wasn't very fluent in English, which made me worry about whether my order was correct. Luckily, it was accurate, and the food turned out to be fantastic. I would definitely consider ordering takeout from here again. A must-try if you live nearby—you won’t be disappointed! This charming husband-and-wife team runs the place, and they are both incredibly friendly and welcoming. I’ve been enjoying this restaurant since I was seven, and I love that nothing about its layout or decor has changed; it’s wonderfully nostalgic. The food is fantastic—authentic and filling—and truly stands out among local competitors. Plus, the prices are excellent. Just a note: the owner and his lovely wife are both a bit older, so if there’s a mistake or something gets forgotten in your order, be patient and just enjoy the experience! Our first time here and we were not disappointed. The food tasted great, fresh vegetables (not frozen broccoli, and not overcooked). Generous portions and great price!!! You cant find anywhere for a bowl of pho for under 10 bucks these days. The place has been running by just a husband and wife for 18 years. We will definitely come back when we stop by Houston again. Oh try the ice coffee. It was awesome and authentic, beats all starbucks coffee.
Great Vietnamese food, our service was efficient and friendly. You wouldn’t know it from the outside strip center bc it’s a little sketch but the place is clean and cared for. Def a great place if you’re in the area and need some comfort food! We will be going back for the Pho next time!
This is a hidden gem that's not located in the busiest areas. The food is authentic, the portions are generous, and everything is delicious! I give it a 5.20 out of 22. I returned with Ms. Mary, and as always, everything was absolutely delicious!

The perfect example for a hole in a wall! Vietnamese food was delicious and authentic. We ordered the Cha Gio (Eggrolls) and the Hu Tieu Ap Chao Do Bien (Krispy Thick Rice Noodle filled with sauce and seafood).
