This is the second time I have been here. The first time I had been here was many years ago and didn't leave much of an impression. Today, was completely different. I had the D&B dog, the chili cheese dog, the Rubén dog, a mushroom swiss burger and chili cheese fries. I didn't intend to order and eat so much food, I initially got the burger, the chili cheese dog and the mushroom Swiss burger. WOW!!! they were so tasty, so full of flavor juicy, perfectly cooked. The burger was perfectly cooked with, being juicy, perfectly sautéed onions and mushrooms, and Swiss cheese perfectly melted all on lightly toasted bun and the hot dogs were perfectly cooked with just right amount of snap and perfec...
We tried D&B this past weekend. Wow! Talk about a classic sandwich and ice cream parlor!! I pigged out with a burger and a chili-cheese dog--both were wonderful. The french fries were the best I've had in a long time--perfectly fried, crisp and tasty. My son sampled the ice cream and couldn't stop talking about it. The ladies behind the counter were friendly and patient with our long evaluation of the menu and helpful explaining what various items were. They were very agreeable handling my wife's food allergy and made us comfortable for a very enjoyable lunch. We're definitely coming back to work our way through more of the menu!
If your reading this review wondering if you should go. GO. This place is as authentic Americana as it gets. Some spectacular burgers dogs and ice cream. Folks are always friendly.

Love this place! Food and personnel are outstanding! Reminds me of a great dog joint in Chicago! I do wish the parking lot would get repaved and painted, however.
I love this place so much. They treat us like family (me 3 little ones) everytime. Food is banging. Ice cream is banging. Come here and see for yourself.
Came in to get a to go order and the woman with the short haircut at the counter was so snobby and rude for no reason. Would not recommend.

Everyday is 4th of July mural is great. So is the selection of dogs and burgers. Great experience!!
