I love dairy Queen. It’s my part of my childhood. However the past few years, the machine seems to not be working as well and the ice cream melts so easily. The Park ridge location is good. Good staff making good blizzards. Bravo. In the Wilmette location, there were two sides to the cashier. I was waiting my turn, however they kept serving others that came after me on the other side. When I asked if I could order anywhere they said yes. They would not even look at me. When they finally took my order, the girl took it with attitude. A vintage DQ experience, I wouldn't change a thing. It's a pleasant change from the snooty park ridge experience. Usually, there is a line that forms out the door on hot days, but it moves fast thanks to the staff of friendly teenagers quenching everyone's wants of sugary treats. There is some indoor seating as well as benches outside. I went there 'cause people said they had the classic vibes of what Dairy Queen was at its begginning. Well... they exceeded my expectations. The service is a 20/10 and as soon as you get in the place, you can feel how you get transported to the past. Love the pics of its begginings on the wall. Gonna go back when I visit Chicago again.
