Wow! My husband and I went here today after many people highly recommended it. I have to say, we were completely and totally pleasantly surprised. When we first walked in, we were ever so kindly greeted by Mr. Brooks. During our entire visit, he went above and beyond to.make sure that we were happy, comfortable, and totally satisfied. We ordered the Curry chicken with collard greens and macaroni and cheese and curry goat with potato salad and greens. We also had the opportunity to try the warm sweet cornbread which was out of this world!!! So delicious, it tasted like a dessert. I visited this location for the first time on 2/6 and was blown away on how great the food was! We had a little bit of everything from the ribs, smothered pork chops chicken wings various side dishes. Everything was perfectly seasoned prepared and some of the best customer service ive ever had! I felt a very warm welcome from calling in to picking up my order. This is definitely one of my new favorite places to eat and will gladly regular this place, keep up the great work!!-Justin
The fried chicken, greens, and macaroni and cheese were delicious, although a bit salty, which is often to be expected. The customer service was excellent, and the restaurant was immaculate. I almost overlooked mentioning the cornbread and the half-and-half, both of which were fantastic!

The food is amazing! Fried chicken with mac and cheese and collard greens. Everything was so good! Robert the owner is so nice. Brought us a plate of the best cornbread I’ve ever had while we waited for our food. I will definitely be back. Check it out, you will not be disappointed.
The food is tasty, provided they have the menu items in stock. They often run out of turkey legs, but the crab mac and cheese is delicious, and the shrimp are impressively large. Despite occasionally being out of certain items, it's a great spot for a quick meal.
A second home. Feels like you're at your aunts house. The wings were spicy and sweet . Perfect combination and the price is right! Get down to Dakari's in Edgewood. Support. Eat great food and they cater. Thanksgiving dinner? They got you!! Dakari's!
The food was very good, tasted like southern cooking. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for soul food, I highly recommend this restaurant.
