Well its been a year since reviewing Danny's but we have been at least 4 or 5 times since.We always get the Halibut which is their best seller according to our pleasant waitress who has been there as long as we have been going to Danny's. The portion tonight was very generous and the coleslaw was terrific, a bit sweeter than last time which we love. Still wish they would add a bun to the plate.Next time we plan to try the homemade rice pudding.This is not just a great fish and chip restaurant it is very clean restaurant.If you love fish and chips you will love Danny's.
The restaurant is intimate and well laid out. The service is personable and efficient. We both had the Halibut, 1/2 fries, and coleslaw (sauerkraut). The Halibut was a square piece; but thin, this negated the ability to enjoy the fish's meaty texture.I would recommend trying the Haddock, a larger piece and probably without sacrificing any flavour. The pricing is upper quartile.
"Dannys" is the BEST FISH N CHIPPY ANYWHERE! I used to eat there when they were located in Stroud. Food is fabulous especially the "2 and a few!" You get a few chips but more than 2 fish!!!! Lots of fish. Tasty! Great service! Friendly efficient staff. Most nights are busy in restuarant and (take out at the BACK side of the building ) But its not cheap, but worth every penny!
Near perfect as you can get. Lots of flexibility in the menu. You don't have to take a mountain of chips just to have fish and chips... I hate that, so thank you. The mountain is still there if you want it though. Extremely clean. These people know how to deep fry properly. The only thing I wish I could have had was a local beer with my lunch. Great fish and chips. Not greasy, oil is changed frequently as the darker the batter, the older the oil. Portion size is generous and there are many options to upsize or downsize.Coleslaw is okay, I think they bring it in. Always busy with dining in and with takeout. Glad we found it.
I have to say this was some of the best fish and chips I've ever had. Lots of meaty fish and not piles of batter. But it was pricier than I had expected for a fish and chips house. We paid almost $50 for two people and no alcohol.
Very good quality of fish - great take away - located at the back of the building - eat in - is at the front of the building - resturant is so so a little dirty at times - when. It's long wait time to eat inside. No patio
This place is only open limited hours and it is always busy but its so good! It's a good price and the fish is tasty and the fries are awesome. I prefer to order and pick-up rather than sit in, but it's a great place. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
