Have been coming here for many years, it just gets better. Easily the best views on the mountain, possibly the best service and really high quality well prepared food. Also try the lavatories with one way glass that look over the hill side! Wiener schnitzel is sublime, prawns huge, the truffle pasta delicious. Get there by skis, cable car from **** Sion Gion, or even better walk from CSG (takes about an hour).
Located at the top of the mountain at **** Masegn - you can reach it by two trams. This is a very high end, gourmet restaurant - reservations are recommended. We couldn't eat there, too full, but had drinks. We plan to go back on our next trip to Laax.The food looked amazing, but very, very pricey. Definitely a special occasion place to dine - be sure to check out the restroom! Sharing a table is fine too!
These people seem to be making so much money they have no need to try very hard. although they had empty tables they refused to serve us coffee today because they claimed they needed 20 minutes to lay up the table for the next guests. Last year they seriously suggested we wait outside in a blizzard because we were 15 minutes early although we had a small child with us.
Fabulous, delicious food in an amazing location. We ate wonderful, tasty filling food in an outstanding location with charming service. It is expensive but it's also a great holiday treat. We had lunch there twice. First time we had soups, which were very good, the second time we went for risotto, which was excellent.The service was reasonable, but nothing to write home about.I would recommend to go once for the views and something decent to eat, if you are in the area.
Das Elefant is located beautifully on the **** Masegn with a view of the breathtaking mountain panorama (if the weather's good) and boasts mouthwatering dishes for a reasonable price as well as good service. During peak-season making a reservation beforehand is advisable.
Wir gingen zum Aufwärmen ins „Das Elephant“ und dachten, wir würden einfach nur einen Kaffee trinken. Überraschen Sie, es ist ein gutes Restaurant an einer Skiliftstation. Die Wasabi-Cremesuppe war unglaublich gut. Nicht billig, aber sehr, sehr gut.

Excellent food, beautifully served and with very accommodating and welcoming service. The restaurant is superbly placed by a chairlift with superb views.
