Dayliner Cafe - Tisch reservieren

Stopped into this bright cafe about 3pm on a Saturrday looking for a light lunch. Opted to sit in the patio garden which was very pleasant. Menu was limited consisting of an all day breakfast, two soups and several wraps and sandwiches. My wife and I opted for the signature turkey and brie wrap and a cup of soup. Soup was tasty and wrap was served with the minimum of garnish and quite small. For $15.00 we thought it a little steep.Service was good, however there was only one other table occupied.Menu is limited, I would probably opt for the all day breakfast if visiting again.Restaurant is attractive and nicely decorated with lots of light and open air feel.Location on the Chemainus road a l...

I went with a girlfriend - our start to a girls' day out. Could not have chosen any better!My friend had a wrap - they serve a lot of wraps - which was grilled and decadent. Perfect. I had a cheese, ham and tomato omelette. This is one of the best omelette's I've ever had. They were out of their cheesy scalloped potatoes, which are a house specialty and served even with breakfast.The bill was about $40 which is very affordable for this divine breakfast.I would love to return for lunch for their homemade soup. Next trip to Chemainus.

With a 7:00 New Years reservation we arrived, ordered a tea and glass of wine, and our full order was taken by the server.Patiently waiting ,we see 3 other tables which came in after us, receive their starter, entree and main meal.After waiting for 1 hr/20 mins with no food, we pay our beverage bill and leave.This poor service happened on Valentine's Day previously with the same server.This was a very disappointing evening and we shall not be returning or recommending the Dayliner!

This place is the worst. Hours are terrible, I've tried 5 times to stop in there on my commute and they are always closed. Finally physically made it in to the store with the open sign on, and was refused a coffee, by the owner, because they didn't want to 'have to re-clean the espresso machine so late in the day''! The sign was on and the door was open! Super rude and poor business incentive. I will not go here again, and I'd recommend going Anywhere else to get better service.

we stopped in for a coffee & a mocha. The 2 staff members were friendly. The cafe was an old train station at one time. The decor is very modern and classy. They are closed for 2 days mid-week and close fairly early as well. On a few weekend nights per month they offer a set dinner menu and I believe that reservations are recommended.

Great service and ambiance but the menu was extremely limited-and when the food arrived, it presented and tasted like a pre-made mealAsked for a side of bacon with my scone, but they don't have actual bacon, just bacon bitsThe cheesy scalloped potatoes were the highlite of a $14 sausage and eager

Set in a disused train station, this cafe has a pretty garden with tables and chairs in which to enjoy your coffee. The coffee is very good (and I am particular about my coffee!) and there is a good selection of baked items. They do serve dinner but I have not been there for dinner.

Trendy food - a little pricey for lunch - Service was very slow - Chowder was very watery, we were expecting a cream base - quaint atmosphere - outdoor seating in a garden setting - not likely to return

Recommend by a friend as a great place to eat. Said friend was right ... was great. Lovely setting on a wonderful warm day. All good nicely presented and tasty. Service was excellent.

We had breakfast here. Very pretty location with a nice patio. Has vegan options. Very good egg wraps. And excellent service.
