I ordered a paisa dish, but it was missing the beans. Their solution was for me to pick up the beans the next day, but why would I want just the beans when I live quite a distance from the restaurant? I also ordered empanadas that were supposed to be piqué, but they arrived cold. The cheese empanada was more like a pastry and barely had any cheese in it. The steak in the paisa was dry and lacked the traditional seasoning, tasting mostly of just salt. Overall, I was very disappointed and feel like I wasted $80.
I didn’t receive beans with my bandeja paisa. The empanadas were cold and didn’t taste like any Colombian empanadas I’ve had before (and I’ve tried many). The pique sauce lacked any real spice and had very little flavor, almost as if it was old. The steak was dry and bland, seasoned only with salt. I’d recommend going somewhere else unless you want to be disappointed.
Every weekend, my husband and I enjoy going out for lunch. The service is consistently friendly, though the only downside is that it’s usually quite crowded, and we often have to wait for a table. However, the food truly captures the flavors of Colombia.
The empanadas at Delicias Caleñas are absolutely delicious, with excellent prices and speedy service. I highly recommend trying the kartoffel. Keep in mind that they only accept cash, but it’s definitely worth it once you see the menu.

This is my favorite bakery! The staff are always friendly, and they serve excellent coffee, chocolate, empanadas, and cakes—pretty much everything you could want. I’m really happy to have this bakery and restaurant in my neighborhood.
