This place is the perfect little date night place. It's an intimate place that allows you to just spend quality time with your partner and family. When you walk in, you're greeted with warm staff that make sure you're attended to quickly. They're kind and funny with great recommendations. Larry the owner came to greet us and was a pleasure to talk to. The food is superb, big portions, and comes out quickly. The pizza is soft and fluffy but oh so crispy at the bottom. Make sure you try out the Alex pizza! The chicken marsala is so tender and flavorful. My husband got the veal parm and it was equally good! Don't forget to try the spumoni cake too! I'll start the review by saying, as a New Yorker I've been blessed to know good Italian so it's really not fair to try and compare. That said, it's good Italian for California. The pizza is top quality; fresh ingredients, good quantity and if you like a thicker crust, similar to Papa John's, but good ? you'll like this place. I also get the pasta (been a few times over the years) and their pink sauce is pretty good. Sweeter if you like it that way. This last visit I ordered a meatball parm. The woman looked at me like I was speaking Italian. Apparently the word parm didn't exist when it came to subs. I got what I wanted but it was just a funny story.
Food came out before the appetizer. Mozzarella sticks were burned on one side. Spaghetti sauce tasted like out of a can. Pasta pescatore was greasy and had an unpleasant odor and taste. My 7 year old liked the Alfredo pasta. The pizza was just fine. Overall, everything was just super bland. Service was friendly and attentive, but probably because it was just our table and a lovely elderly couple behind us in the whole place on mother's day. Got a complimentary slice of ice cream cake for the birthday girl. I had high hopes because of all the food reviews, but we won't be going back.
Small family type restaurant. Very nice, polite and attentive service. Every one helps. Very limited hours. Their menu is simple yet very good. I'm glad friends took us there. Treated my family of 6 to dinner Sat.nite takeout. My family thought the Pizza was great and we all thought the red sauce was the best. However...me not so happy. I ordered chicken with capers and a side of pasta with meat sauce.Chicken very dry,capers burned, no meat sauce,garlic bread dry and tasteless, and ceasar salad bitter. We ordered chicken alfredo and the chicken parm. It was delicious! Ordered the qty for light eaters and it was plenty of food. Good to see this place has that option more restaurants should do this. No food was waisted here??
