This is one of our favorite breakfast spots in Bellingham. The menu features a variety of options, and I often opt for the omelette—my favorite is the tomato, feta, mushroom, and spinach one. The biscuits and gravy are also outstanding. The service is generally good, and there’s a mix of counter seating and tables to choose from. The walls are adorned with artwork from local artists, giving it a classic diner vibe. Whenever family members visit from out of state, they always request a trip to Diamond Jim's during their annual visits, and we’re more than happy to oblige.
I’ve been to *almost* every breakfast place in Bellingham multiple times, and Diamond Jim’s wins “most frequented.” It isn’t the top of the list in terms of quality, but it’s close and it definitely goes on the “Bellingham Best-kept Secret’s list.” Vibe: classic 50’s diner Food quality: (slightly above par diner fare) Atmosphere: (energetic, crowded) Service: (quick and clean) Staff: (loveable)
Great food, great service and great prices! They immediately served us coffee and water, with unlimited refills in a timely fashion. I had the 2-2-2. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the blueberry pancakes were just like mom used to make with not too much butter and real syrup. 10 out of 10, all for much less than $20.

The Americana diner is a rare gem these days. It's the kind of place where you can sit at the counter, enjoy a hot cup of coffee, and savor a delicious breakfast for just a bit over $10. It's a fantastic spot, and I hope it stays around for many years to come.
Delicious every time, and even though it seems a little pricey, it's tons more food than you really need. Half orders, which are really just regular sized portions, are also available if you don't want to have leftovers or be stuffed to the rafters!
We've been living in Bellingham since 2003. The shrimp Po' Boy and the turkey pesto melt were both excellent. Our server was very friendly and attentive. My husband and I will definitely come back soon. - Lisa and Paul
