We had lunch here in late feb. Booked a table just in case. It didn't look too busy, there were plenty of tables but i don't think there were many staff, the service was a little slower. We were greeted and shown to our table but then left for around 15 minutes without being given menus. I happened to spot the menus up by the front counter and grabbed a couple so we could work out our order. About 3 minutes later a friendly waitress approached us with menus and was surprised we already had them. She took our drinks order and our lunch order. My old hometown of Newstead (I come from Hilliers Street) is seldom all that warm and welcoming in the depths of winter. Fog and a gloomy chill is par for the course on arrival, and one naturally gravitates toward the warmest place you can find! Not hard to do! Very satisfying coffee and choc cake (lunch was scheduled in Castlemaine).
We went back for a second time. Service helpful, cheerful, and embiance comfortable and relaxing. A comprehensive menu catering for all needs. Great coffee or tea. A pleasurable experience. Highly recommended and we will return when down that way next.

We really enjoyed our three visits to Dig. The decor is attractive with interesting views of the street from most tables. Breakfast was delicious and serves were generous. Great coffee. We'll be back
Highly recommend the pizzas particularly the sweet potato, if you want a hot hot coffee this is the place to be, plus you get real tea leaves in the lovely teapots, try the earl grey.
