Today was my second attempt, and as a Taro lover, I ordered a drink featuring Taro. Their menu boasted about using REAL TARO BITS, and the pictures suggested they made their drinks with real taro paste. But what I received was a completely different story. It was made with 100% artificial flavor, scent, and color, all in powdered form. I couldn't believe I drove all the way from Santa Monica twice only to end up with an artificial Taro milk tea. This feels like a scam. I called them to confirm they used a powder in the drink, and since returning wasn’t an option for me, I had to throw it away.

We ordered a Brown Sugar Milk Tea with lychee jelly, a Chamoy Mango Slush, a Brown Sugar Latte Coffee with boba, and a Taro Green Milk Tea. Everyone enjoyed their drinks, except for my husband, who wasn’t a fan of the taro pudding in the Taro Green Milk Tea. He liked the tea itself but felt that the pudding didn’t add much to the experience. On the other hand, the Brown Sugar Milk Tea was delicious, and I loved my Chamoy Mango Slush. My daughter especially enjoyed the latte.

Let me start by saying i enjoy coming to get a drink at this boba place more often than not especially when im in the area. Not many places can make a good boba. Lately everytime ive gone to this particular location on rosecrans all my drinks mainly milk teas and i always switch between the best selling signitature milk tea, jasmine, and brown sugar milk tea. The last 3 times ive gone within 2 months have tasted watered down and flavorless i honestly couldn't even enjoy drinking it. Just wanted to leave a review in the hopes that the business sees this and fixes this issue because I dont want to have to find another place for my boba.
I truly believe Ding Tea chain is the best boba out there. I'm so happy that South Bay has one and I have ZERO complaints. You can go and order or you can order ahead and make it easy on yourself! The menu is big, endless options and random offers on other walls so make sure you take a look around if you are inside ordering and unsure. Recently, I saw they had a blueberry milk tea and I had to get it as my mom is the biggest blueberry fan. Almond milk, no sugar, add boba is my order! The staff here is friendly, kind and work very hard! Don't forget to tip!

Visited Ding Tea in Hawthorne, and it was an absolute delight! The tea was uniquely different, but what made it truly special was the incredibly friendly staff. James, in particular, was a gem his warm service while ringing up my purchase added an extra layer of joy to my experience. The entire team was welcoming, making it a standout place for a friendly and distinctive tea outing. Highly recommend!
I stopped by quickly and stood at the front, but the staff seemed pretty clueless. They ended up taking someone else's order without even acknowledging me, even though I arrived first. Be sure to grab the workers' attention because they may not notice you if you're just waiting.
