Amazing staff and even better food. We got to sit at the chef table and watched them prepare the dishes which was a fun experience. The courses were amazing and I was blown away by the chef treats. The standouts for me were the artichoke and the lasagna. Also the cocktails hit the spot, I thought the tamarind and ginger drink was amazing. Overall I highly recommend, i love finding nice places to bring my vegan girlfriend. One of the better plant focused restaurants I’ve been to. Went for the Canamex event on July 3. The food was even better than usual. Inventive. Delicious. A platter of 6 snack sticks came first. One for each person. We then each got a cheeseburger and hot dog, with multiple delicious sides to share. Dessert was a creamsicle. See the menu photo I posted for the details of this incredible vegetarian meal. Dirt Candy is always inventive and full of flavors. A must try for creative, vegetarian cooking.
This restaurant is incredibly delicious, and the service is outstanding. I can't pick a favorite dish from the dinner menu, but a few standouts were the carrot cone, the eggplant corndog, and the tomato with smoked cheese donut. I appreciate that there are protein options like tofu and beans, which make the fully vegetarian menu quite satisfying. Additionally, the mocktail featuring beet and yuzu was fantastic. I can't wait to return!
I guess I was expecting more. The food was good but not particularly delightful. The roasted artichoke dish totally rocked, but I just thought for the prix fixe price that every dish was going to be outstanding. The pea soup was not so interesting. The first dish (tart) was fine. I was just so blown away by Sunday C&C and Mas Ethiopian that I expected more from this far pricier meal (all vegan).

My favorite restaurant in NYC! I visit a couple of times each year to sample their seasonal menu. Amands Cohen consistently creates intriguing and creative flavor combinations that never fail to surprise me. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes and wine selection. I also enjoy the open kitchen concept, where I can watch the chefs work their magic.
Extremely overrated. Only 2 courses were good out of the 7 we had. Staff was nice and attentive. The decor/ambiance felt super cheap. Why is there a waitlist for this restaurant? No clue what the hype is about. Not coming here again and don’t recommend.
This meal was excellent. From the creative dishes to the incredible wine pairing. The thought and effort which has gone into this menu does not go unnoticed or unappreciated.
