Food was good, and the service was surprisingly mediocre. I believe the server was more interested in selling as much as he could rather than providing thoughtful, attentive service. Also, it was my wife's Birthday and I put it in the online reservation, I told the hostess AND I told the manager when he came around. No one did anything to acknowledge her Birthday. Again, the food was good and the service was bad. We won't go back since there are so many restaurants that do have good food AND good service!
We ordered a bunch of apps and entrees. The calamari and bread was good. Mussels were not good. Burrata was blah like something that was mass produced from the grocery store. Risotto and pappardelle bolognese was also bland. It needed to be seasoned. Dessert was also underwhelming. Cocktails were good though. Service was very slow. Took too long to get drinks and food. I think there were only 2 servers for the entire restaurant. 4 5 buss boys but only 2 servers.
We sat in the enclosed patio area at this restaurant. The ambiance was energetic, and we could hear and see the occasional train passing by. The appetizers, brussel sprouts and octopus, were really great. Our pasta dishes were also good. It was a busy night and the staff forgot about our bottle of wine, but they made it up to us by giving us a free dessert in the end.
This place is excellent. The veal pasta, fish, roasted beet salad, and baratta were all outstanding. The carrot cake and chocolate gelato were also delicious. The manager was very kind and came over to chat with us. It can be a bit pricey, so it's not somewhere I can afford to eat at regularly, but the food is always on point and delicious.

My medium hamburger was overcooked and dry. Should have sent it back but was too hungry to wait any longer
