Ich war eine Woche lang geschäftlich in München. Ein Kollege von mir, der mehrmals im Jahr nach München reist, brachte mich und zwei weitere reisende Kollegen an einem kalten Novemberabend zum Abendessen hierher. Der kleine, intime Speisesaal war voll mit Einheimischen, und die warme Atmosphäre in Verbindung mit dem ausgezeichneten Essen sorgte für eine angenehme Pause von der Kälte draußen. Jeder von uns hatte seine eigene Suppe, wir teilten uns mehrere Vorspeisen und Hauptgerichte und stellten gemeinsam fest, dass jede Wahl unglaublich lecker war. I travel to Munich about 5 times per year for work, and have brought my family over once as well. When I had my family here, we tried this place and really enjoyed it. The waiter had a lot of fun making jokes with our son and the food is contently good Turkish food. Only negative thing I have to say is that one time they gave me a beer here that was about 60% foam. I asked for ein mehr weniger shaum in my consistently terrible german and the guy apologized, so no big deal. You are going to get sick of German food during a stay here (German food is very heavy), so branch out and get some of the Turkish and Italian food. My wife and I recently moved to Munich from Chicago, and we went to Diyar with a friend that was visiting. We had no idea what to expect, but we wanted to try some new restaurants in our new neighborhood. Wow... we could not have been more pleased with our meal and our overall experience! Not knowing much about the menu we asked for recommendations from the host/server, and he brought us 3 *incredible* plates (lamb, shrimp, chicken and they were all fantastic. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for Turkish food that leaves your mouth watering for more : We will definitely be back, and will be looking for new favorite plates to add to our list.
We have visited Taverna Diyar for romantic dinner. Service was super friendly and helpful. Menu was well tailored. Food when arrived was delicious. Main course with Sis Kebab was tender and melting in the mouth. Recommended ! Keep in mind that place also has an outdoor seating so during early autumn, late spring ambiance gets even more cozy.
