Rare for us to go the same place twice on a vacation, but we loved this cocktail bar. Beautiful, intimate space. Service was very friendly. And, most importantly, the drinks were killer. I had a great paper plane on one visit, and a couple of their signature cocktails on another. The one called A Warm Burrow was excellent, sweet, both spiced and spicy. Great balance. The bartenders were also very accommodating about making my wife a range of mocktails, all interesting and tasty. Pro tip definitely order the brown butter truffle popcorn to go along with your drinks. Perfect elevated bar snack.
I remember visiting when they first opened, and I'm so happy to find them still around! An odd location for such an amazing cocktail bar in my opinion, but once you step inside the vibe is amazing. The bartender (Erin) let me have a taste of licor 43 after I asked about it as one of the ingredients of my cocktail. She makes a great drink! I went with a friend this time but it's also a place I love to sit alone and chill or people watch the pedestrians. My favorite drinks so far are the truly madly swiftie and bourbon and Clyde. I also love a menu with a milk punch!
This little cocktail bar is such a gem! This is my second time visiting because the first time was such a great experience. Their cocktail menu is extensive and very well done, their bartenders know what they're doing and make what I call a beautifully crafted cocktail. The place is small and intimate which I really love and has great places to sit for conversation with friends or date night. The service is always good, and the drinks always come out really fast. I really love this little spot, it's definitely a must go in Charleston!
I just wanted to say THANK YOU to Adam and Jake. Last night we walked in at last call because it was our 21st anniversary and we were at Doar Bros last year for our 20th and loved it so much! We felt like we were going to be an inconvenience but, Jake made us feel so welcome! Adam, who also helped us last year, took the time to actually sit down with us and have a great conversation. We decided to stop by Doar Bros for drinks before our dinner reservations. They seat you as a first come first serve basis, including at the bar. We were lucky enough to be seated immediately upon arrival. It's a small spot with limited seating, standing, and outside space. The vibes were moody and elevated. I enjoyed both my drinks that I ordered and would definitely recommend this location to smaller groups wanting to check it out!
Small intimate bar. Visited Doar Bros during a Bar Crawl with The Cocktail Bandits. We had 2 drinks that were delicious, and charcuterie board, and garlic popcorn. All were tasty, but the garlic popcorn will hold a space in my memory for a long time. It was so good. Otherwise the service was great, and they provided good information about the drinks and food. Will be visiting them again.
If you find yourself in Charleston and are looking for an incredible experience, this is the place to go. The drinks are both humble and delicious, and the prices are unbeatable. Honestly, I'm amazed we managed to get a table given how fantastic the drinks are! I came here based on the Google Reviews, and I'll definitely be returning, as it exceeded the 5-star rating I found online.
Doar brothers is a treat! Their staff is knowledgeable and friendly! Kris, Stephen, Jake, Xander and Erin are all stars. One of my favorite bars when visiting Charleston. Our drinks were well crafted and balanced. The atmosphere is intimate. I'm not a bourbon drinker, but I like the Bourbon Clyde. I wish I had the appetite to try the Brown Butter Popcorn, but I came right after lunch....definitely next time!
