I have ordered food from Dong Dongs before, and I have found that the quality of the food can be hit or miss. While the lady working behind the counter is very friendly, I can't understand why the staff have never taken the time to clean the front door properly. On this particular occasion, I decided to treat myself and my daughter to a takeaway on Friday, July 24th, 2015, around 6:00 pm. I ordered fried rice, chips, and beef curry. Unfortunately, the rice was extremely oily and dark brown, and to my horror, the beef in the curry had a strange smell and color. When I removed the beef from the sauce, I discovered a piece of wire! I was shocked and disgusted, thinking about the potential harm...
Had Ka's for the first time in a long time just before new year and happy to report it is still one of the best Chinese takeaways in town. I was very sad to find out though that they'd done away with the Jumbo sized chicken and cheese rolls they did a few years ago they were fab and the ones they do now pale in comparison. The munchie box though was very tasty and the selection of goodies on hand were great value for money. I especially enjoyed the onion rings which were nice and crispy, as well as delicious with the curry sauce. Ka's come strongly recommended, but please bring back the Jumbo chicken and cheese rolls
I ordered the honey chili chicken in wine sauce, but I received a dish that had no sauce, was very tough, and resembled Chinese ribs. I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Dong Dong Chinese restaurant. I will never order from there again. It was the worst Chinese food I have ever had.
Worst chinese in town. Ordered food from here and When i received the food it was very very poor quality, tasted of metal and was that overcooked it was physically impossible to eat. I contacted Dong Dong to explain about the quality of the food and they just said thats how it is.

I had ordered Chicken Balls from this restaurant and after biting into it, I was sickened to find blood in the middle, clearly under cooked. If I had of consumed it I could have been seriously ill. Will never eat here again and would advise others to stay clear aswell.
i love dong dong take away. the service is great with a very pleasant and quick local delivery driver. chicken fried rice is to die for! everything ive had out of it has been 1st class. I go here quite a lot.
I have visited this restaurant several times. The staff is friendly, but the food is just okay. However, for Chinese restaurants in Newry, average is considered good. The prices are on par with other places.
The food is cheaper than most chineses in newry and the portions are very big. However is that really worth it when the food is as bad as this places?
